looking nice

Me and 2 of my other mates car got defected tonight at Villi's carpark... cops were weird and all angry for some reason tonight... as i was walking towards my car after a meal at Villis a cop drove his car in and blocked my car, friends s13 and my other friends integra... didnt know what we did wrong but he called 2 more cop cars to come and they completly blocked us from going anywhere. it wasnt like we were going to do a runner or something cos we didnt do anything wrong.. then after cops came out and type all our number plates up and blah blah, checked out our cars and then gave us 3 defect each for stupid reason such as bald tires and crap.. Are these cops bored tonight or were they just finding a place to target us easy . . .

Your right, being defected for bald tyres is stupid, stupid on your behalf!

you should be smart enough to have decent tread, not only for avoiding a defect, but insurance.

you do realise bald tyres void your insurance policy?

and as Luke said, cop shop defect, you come out lucky considering.

...and performance! Wheres all the power going to go if the tyres are bald.

In the dry bald tyres will enhance performance, in the wet you'll aquaplane across the top of the water if there's enough of it and have zero traction

Uh... no they won't. Once tyres have gone bald they have almost certainly gotten very very hard and be uneven. They will give terrible performance in that state.

a little excessive, yes, but not exactly out of the ordinary.

it wasnt like we were going to do a runner or something cos we didnt do anything wrong..

and? cops obviously accounted for all possibilities.

bald tyres is a stupid defect? since when?

seriously, man the f**k up, you got a cop shop defect for something that is an obvious safety issue and youre complaining?

remember, you own a skyline, they couldve made it a whole worse with very little effort.

people that have bald tires deserve to get defected IMHO.....i normally change my tires as soon as they get to the wear marker....i dont know why people put all the money in enhancing performance of their cars when they cheap out on tires......ffs thats the only thing between the road and you......and craig is correct in regards to insurance as well.......seriously man just get some new tires (cheapies if it may be) and get the defect cleared.....you got off rather easy....but thats just the luck

OK. Of course, you're almost certain that if a tyre is bald it's hard and uneven..... race cars run slicks in dry weather because they perform worse, didn't know that!

theres a pretty significant difference between a f**ked out street tyre with no tread and an engineered full slick with 5mm of high quality rubber to get through.

The compound that the tyre is made from in a racing slick is completely different then a normal tyre.

A normal road tyre with no tread does nothing but give you worse traction in all aspects and conditions.

obviously ;)

Again, obvious. I'll agree to disagree, cause I'm not talking about shagged tyres that are well past their expiry

Also not implying it shouldn't be a defect
