Been reading some build threads and wondered about the pro's and cons of getting your stock RB30 pistons ceramic coated as a pose to buying forged ones?? I am only looking around the 600bhp mark as I hope to keep the bottom end stock and cannot afford to start uprating the rest of the car to cope wth more power! I will be using an RB26 head with possibly mild cams.

Opinions on this subject please. And anyone used it would like to hear how you got on.

Regards my two closed topics.. I had read the guides for RB30 conversion (all last week!) and that was why I sarted my own topic.. I wanted a specific thread on those specific questions as there are lots of different opinions! Didn't think that was un- reasonable?

If you read the rb30 results thread you will quickly reliase 600bhp or 480rwhp

wont last on stock pistons reliably, rods need to keep revs sensible and boost low

sydneykid has defiantely shed light on this topic several times

maybe do a search in the rb30 section
