From a "fast car" point of view, like a couple have said before, if you could get the AWD to work with a built LS1/LS2 and then twin turboed the engine, damn what a weapon that would be!! Lighter engine, better weight distribution, and being able to make 400-500rwkw with bugger all lag. I doubt many RB26's could keep up with it, regardless of how much power they had.

But yeah, i still personally wouldn't do it......................... But i think some one should :P

anyone who puts a v8 in a gtr needs to be shot

i voted V8

but i also agree with ^

confusing u much

the poll was putting a GTR up agents a R33 V8

nobody will be V8ing a GTR they will do it to a model of skyline that there are more of like R33 GTS

it is like when i see R34 Vspec nur's for sale and the ppl have changed turbos, changed rims, and done body work

this real pises me of big time if u are going to do that to a skyline do it to a base model not one that they only made 750 of

dont quote me on that number plz

o and thx every body to contributing the the poll and i hope that more ppl can add to it

so you'd be thinking of say a buick 3.8 finding its way into an R32 V-Spec then Terry? :)

There's a Soarer getting around here which sounds just like my VN actually, been meaning to wave the guy down and ask if it is in fact the original 4 litre!

If i had a choice of having an N/A LS1 or a RB26 in mine (assuming you could get AWD to work with the V8) I'd go LS1, purely on cheaper parts and maintenence.

What is/was the go with those? were they ever a full production car?

Terry, there's several Jag's here which have had the original V12 ripped out in favour of a 351 or a Chev - less reliability issues apparently lol.

The Chev was much more reliable and parts were cheap.

The Jag was notorius for oil seals, head, rings issues etc lol. esp till late 80s

I think it would be a big improvement! :D

mind you, all the Ferarri's I've heard going sound like a sewing machine or electric whippersnipper...

I wonder how that HR31 with the VH41 (I think) nissan V8 would go vs a GTR!

here's some youtube links lol, what kiwi bogans...

Oh I thought the reliability problems were throughout the whole car!

I wonder if a lambo or ferarri motor could potentially fit into a Skyline...

Yes that's true!

Jaguar went into a phase of outsourcing other obscure companies to make parts of a famous marque. So door handles broke into pieces, leather cracked terminally etc.

Enough said - so sad.
