What is the best way to bleed/control top end boost of a supercharged car?

I've got a little SCed vehicle with high compression.

It's currently running 6.5 psi at the manifold.

I like to use a smaller pulley to get boost earlier (spin the SC quicker). I don't want to over boost too much with the high compression.

Is there any RELIABLE way of bleeding this top end boost? I just want max boost of around 9 psi.
