What does an SAFC do?. It is short for Super Air Flow Converter. It is a basic unit that allows you to alter your AFR (Air fuel ratios). Most jap cars run rich (eg r33) and to tune the AFR's you need one of these unless you can get the standard computer re-mapped. Fitted and tuned, an SAFC can give some pretty good power gains.
