dont have to get around you as the last time we went heads up it was disgustingly one sided....lol

where's that vid?

you will have to put it on the back wheels to get me.

the smack talk has officially begun. :D

I'd suggest you leave it in RWD to even things up but then you can always be relied upon to go to pieces when the chips are down. You'll prob do that anyway.

Smack it up, bitch!

My heavy car and my fat ass...id say where even...hang on...thats right...you have had an engine built that would be more at home in an Osaka Taxi cab...and a turbo that couldn't blow your mothers hair dry...so i guess not....mwuhahahaha.

Hey Paul + Stace

Did you notice that the powercruise site does not list you in the top 4 of the street racing. The place is blank where I would expect you to be named.

There is $200 going wanting there + a trophy !!

Get onto it!

Matt

GUP my entry fee is going to be waived for this event?

True. But I'd rather have a taxi driver's motor than a taxi driver's fat arse. And I've beaten plenty of other cars with big horsepower before - even with my tiny turbz.

Got Ur Prizemonies

LOL!

dudes, stop arguing. You should both win because you're both such top blokes. I think if one of you wins, you should high-five and buy each other an icy-cold beverage.

Actually, I will buy you both icy-cold beverages because you're both such top blokes.

If I could be anything in the world, I'd be you guys. Top blokes!

Cheers,

Guilt-Toy

Damnit!!! And here's me gunning to be on the opposite side of the ladder!

You coming in the Powerskids too Pauly? A GTR has kicked an arse or twelve in that event before.

my marbles may be a little undersize to be doing Powerskids.

Its about a bloody good weekend at the end of the day.

My little car wont be in contention for any trophy, then again im not out to get one.

Just to have fun,

Cracking gate, hitting the limiter and smoking the tyres!

If i can beat a few cars along the way then thats a bonus.

A man after my own heart!

It really doesn't matter. I've been to every Powercruise at ECR and whether I was entered or not I had a ball. Here's what it comes down to, Steve;

You pull out of pit lane like you have done a heap of times before and as soon as you get onto the racetrack proper, you pin the throttle and aim at turn two. Sounds just like any open race day, right?

WRONG!

And it's all because you have three of your buddies in the car, giggling like school girls and loving the fact that they can enjoy your car just like you do. Then there's the racing. The rules allow for roll-ons where you can line up your buddy in his car and give it a squirt in the designated areas (just about everywhere). It's the most casual, enjoyable way to enjoy your car with your mates you'll ever have.

The dyno comp is usually dominated by massive dollar cars but that doesn't stop people sticking their 200hp stockers on the rollers. At the end of the day it's about putting on a show for the punters and the crowd really appreciate tough cars.

You WILL love it mate. I personally guarantee it. Don't worry about 'competing'. That's the tiniest part of this event.

Oh Paul, you make me giggle

Ok, so I'm pretty sure I would love to come to this, but I'm fairly damn certain I don't want to turn up in my 200kw POS... can I ride shotgun with anyone? :D

There is a cubic butt-load of cruise sessions so come to our garage and take your pic. You'll have my r33, paul's r32, stuart's ls1r32 and a turbo astron galant to choose from.

Actually, you drive mine, I'm cruising in the ls1 r32.

lol

You've sold me mate. Im in!

The website says the garages etc are all booked out - anyone got a spare one or two?

The guys at work are pretty keen aswel, there's some crazy powered cars here.

There aren't any garages left and as it is, we have three (maybe four) cars in our single (that allows for two cars at once). We'll be sleeping there in our garage on pit lane. The advantage of having a garage means no lining up for cruise sessions (the event will likely get 800-1000 entries - no shit!) but you will still have ample opportunity to play on the track even if you can't scoot straight out.

Bring your mates in their cars. I know you'll love it mate.

    • Update: I got the magnet out. I bought 3 different flexible magnetic reach tools, but none of them worked. The magnet on the tip was all less than 2lbs of force, so i had to buy a special cylindrical magnet that had a pull force of 9lbs.  The magnet finally came in the mail yesterday, so i got under the car to get to work. The super strong magnet isn't that long, so i only have about 1 finger pinch lengths to hold it. I was so scared when i was going in the hole, that the 9lb magnet would just fly away inside the oil pan never to be seen again, but i had my butt cheeks clenched and finger gripped on that thing so tight, i managed to get it to suck the other magnet out.  It was a victory for me last night.
    • Yep, pretty much what you said is a good summary. The aftermarket thing just attached to the rim, then has two lines out to valve stems, one to inner wheel, one to outer wheel. Some of the systems even start to air up as you head towards highway speed. IE, you're in the logging tracks, then as speeds increase it knows you're on tarmac and airs up so the driver doesn't even have to remember. I bet the ones that need driver intervention to air up end up seeing a lot more tyre wear from "forest pressures" in use on the highway!
    • Yes, but you need to do these type certifications for tuning parts. That is the absurd part here. Meaning tuning parts are very costly (generally speaking) as well as the technical test documentation for say a turbo swap with more power. It just makes modifying everything crazy expensive and complicated. That bracket has been lost in translation many years ago I assume, it was not there.
    • Hahaha, yeah.... not what you'd call a tamper-proof design.... but yes, with the truck setup, the lines are always connected, but typically they sit just inside the plane of the rear metal mudguards, so if you clear the guards you clear the lines as well. Not rogue 4WD tracks with tree branches and bushes everywhere, ready to hook-up an air hose. You can do it externally like a mod, but dedicated setups air-pressurize the undriven hubs, and on driven axles you can do the same thing, or pressurize the axles (lots of designs out there for this idea)... https://www.trtaustralia.com.au/traction-air-cti-system/  for example.... ..the trouble I've got here... wrt the bimmer ad... is the last bit...they don't want to show it spinning, do they.... give all the illusion that things are moving...but no...and what the hell tyre profile is that?...25??? ...far kernel, rims would be dead inside 10klms on most roads around here.... 😃
    • You're just describing how type certification works. Personally I would be shocked to discover that catalytic converter is not in the stock mounting position. Is there a bracket on the transfer case holding the catalytic converter and front pipe together? If so, it should be in stock position.
