hey guys got what i beleive to be a cusco 6point full cage for a 33 (alot of pp say 33 can fit 34),

its in good condition with all the protective foam (the hoop has been unwrapped and rewrapped).

it goes around your dash not through it so no cutting and can be used whilst still having back seats.

im in south east suburbs of melbourne, prefer pick up but if you can arrange courier or something then thats fine.

i am willing to travel victoria a bit to meet half way also.

im looking for $800ono, worth over a 1000 brand new and this is near brand new.

the blue un made picture is the actual cage and the orange is how it fits in.

any interest PM me or txt me on 0433971544.

Cheers

Gezza

pretty much, seems pretty easy (iv never done it though)

as for cost to adelaide ill have to hunt around and see (its not exactly a small item so it could be exspensive, especially the hoop)

ill go see how much it weighs and its diametres and get back to you.

Cheers

ok size and weight wise for shipping.

now i have no idea about shipping items so bare with me and any one with knowledge please feel free to add.

total weight is approx 25kg,

the hoop is 135cm wide and 120cm heigh,

from straight from point to point of the front bars that go around the dash is 160cm,

the other 4 bars are small than 115cm.

these are all approximates, sorry that i cant help more with the shipping fees ect.

i have never shipped anything.

how come you don't know what it is?

how/where did you buy it?

i got it from a guy off here as part of a cash and trade deal.

when he got it he beleived it was a cusco one, but it has no branding.

it didnt fit his cause he had a sunroof and i need to get out of debt so that is why it is now up for sale.

hey buddy

any idea if it meets CAMS or FIA specs for racing purposes or is it just a "in case i roll my car" cage. let me know. also does it come with padded foam??

It is not CAMS/FIA spec'd

Hardly any Jap cage is, especially with those mass bends near the A-pillars that they all have :/

Its just a "incase" cage :)

CAMS ones can be had for only a few hundred more so look into that

    • Aren't these run off of high voltage in OEM applications? Like 200+V. Or at least 48V in mild hybrids. At ~18,000 BTU ballpark nominal capacity the power draw is at what, 2.2 kW? ~185A is a pretty crazy amount of amps. At 200V it's only 11A. The 70A nominal kits with up to 100A peak draw I see for stuff like classic Porsches have pretty substantial compromises like shutting off at idle and not actually managing to keep the interior cool in hot conditions because they can only output like 6000 BTU. IMO if I had to pick what high amp draw component to retrofit to these cars I would start with the engine fan, not the AC compressor. You need an ~850-1000W brushless fan, something like this: I would love to see the data but I would bet that whatever you save by running the AC compressor in a more efficient regime with an electric motor you're probably losing to conversion losses anyways. It's not really like a clutch fan where you're losing power all the time even when it's nominally disengaged and it gets worse as it engages because the envelope tracking isn't that precise.

    • I'm wondering is the Toyota and Mazda "collaboration" could see that new Toyota ???G20 ??? turbo engine that they have been showing off recently into a future MX5, apparently it's good for 400hp out of the box That could easily, possibly, be much better than the last collaboration between Toyota and Subaru with the boxer engine in the twins
