GreeceS13
RB26 use jis plugs 53.5 length.. If I will use BKR plugs (iso) with 50mm length will be too much problem? I will loose perfomance? Don't think about map because I will remap it anyway. QWK32
BK type plugs have a 2.5 mm shorter terminal end (the bit that meets the coil pack) than BCP type. other than that they are the same, eg. BKR6ES and BCPR6ES are the same except for the BK one is shorter. you wont have a problem if it terminal still has a good connection with the coil pack or spark plug lead electrode, which ever you are using. GreeceS13
A ok sorry but I thought that the difference in the height is at the other side... combution chambel side... Thanks for the help!! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/247501-rb26-using-short-plugs-iso-bkr-big-problem/#findComment-4298831 Share on other sites
STATUS
height diferrence is in the ceramic side not the combustion side, i have had a few rb's break down due to bad contacts. Use BCPR7(e) the BKR7E etc usually work but there is no reason to use the wrong plug as both are easy to get and both the same price, if i remmember correctley yours makes big power so chase up some 8 heat range. daisu
BK type plugs have a 2.5 mm shorter terminal end (the bit that meets the coil pack) than BCP type. This is interesting information, could possibly explain missing problems that I and other people have had.
