Genuine Gibson Motorsport GT-R Cams

I have managed to get my hands on these extremmely rare cams

They are in great condition and come with a Cam Doctor specs sheets (done just last month)

They are suited to a very fast street or track car.

I can say the are nothing like anything I have seen, but, obviuosly work very well.

They are designed to over come the small exhaust valve size whilst maximising Max torque and Average power.

Specs will be provided on purchase.

"Eric was formerly the Winfield Racing/Gibson Racing, Group A Engine Development Manager. Eric was responsible for the engine development process and in his time with the team, produced some killer engines which were able to win twice at Australia's most challenging Group A touring car race, the Bathurst 1000 in 1991/2.

CAMS:

Group A touring car spec camshafts.

The camshaft specifications were developed and designed by Eric Engineering. The camshafts work in conjunction with the turbo set-up and radical exhaust design to deliver more power right through the rev range, not just in the top end where most other cams previously used provided gains.

With the current cam-turbo-exhaust-ignition combination, this motor produces more power at 3000 rpm than the previous motor did at 5000 rpm while using the same boost.

Eric's tuning and development makes Mike's GT-R " quite pleasant to drive in everyday traffic " - Something which Michael believes is very hard to achieve when extracting so much power at such high RPM's.

Driveability and strong torque right through the rev range is necessary for a road driven car"

turbos's were 350hp grp A

Exhaust was twin 3" primaries 130cm long into a single 4" (yes I also run this custom setup)

Price $800

Going by the above info does that mean these cams are suited to the N1 turbo's? the same as they used in Bathurst etc?

If the N1's you have are rated 320-350hp...There are so many types. If yours are garret 2860R-7 they may be a bit small. Grp A are bigger than N1 in the earlier Nissan models.

Hey just wondering if these are the same spec cams as in this post

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gr...ad-t205237.html

" Camshafts were of 288 degree duration with their 10.88mm lift making " is that right?

cheers

the intake were 256 9.2's and i think the exhausts were 274 9.3's...not exact specs but around that ball park

my money's on......

"The Gibson Motorsport Cams(as used in bathurst) run more duration on the exhaust and .25 more lift, Inlet 256 @ 9.5mm lift Exhaust 278 @ 9.75 mm lift, the cams where done at an advertised duration of .020"
