I have seen a few around lately in that style. Probably not exactly the same but with the outlets on the same side, really good if u own a car where the stock piping is all on the same side of the engine bay like GTS-T's. In the end its an intercooler and unless u have a fairly modded car it isnt going to do too much in terms of power gains. My car had exactly the same power b4 and after the FMIC install.

an FMIC isnt supposed to add power. i allows you to increase boost safely, beyond the factory set level. a factory interfooler will become heat-soaked with the extra heat generated by the turbo as its working harder

thats why you didnt get any power, try turning the boost up :(

the first one I found it at ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbo-Intercooler-3...A1%7C240%3A1318

the second one ,did an intercooler image search on google, missed one like that on ebay ,was out of a holden vl turbo :( ...

same side return pipe on intercooler's for stags has been talked about many times on here. Search the intercooler thread for info. 48ngr i think his name is has done a nice one on a rsfour s1 i belive.

Has anybody tryed any of this ones?

Upon an external observation, the one on the right is a far superior to the one on the left. A design with more short tubes is much better flowing than a design with less longer tubes.

If the materials & construction of the one on the right are decent, then it will probably be more efficient than the 'conventional' 600x300x75 X-flow aftermarket intercooler. Not to mention easier to install, smaller & lighter.

*edit*

Upon closer observation, the one on the left is pretty much the worst kind of design you could use. It would have very high internal pressure losses, and fairly average flow.

I was going to buy the one on the left but decided it diddnt look very efficient

Also i got an after market xr6 intercooler never used for $150 so i'm gonna hook that up soon (with custom made pipes) and see how that goes.

The thing is i'm trying to keep the engine bay as claean as possible +less mods .Spearco does one for supras ,as another parts do for mustangs .some people say vertical flow fmic is better some don't so I will keep thinking about it :)
