Who cares if you can see the whole track or not from one vantage point? By that measure QR is brilliant, you can see the whole track from your pit bay. As a spectator, I'd rater see a couple of good corners up close than some speck of a car over the other side of the track that you can't really hear or see what its actually doing. That's not good spectating. Besides, you're never going to get too many people to spectate at Superlap. Its not as exciting to watch as head to head racing, and even State Championship rounds don't really pull crowds. Do it for the drivers who are paying the bucks to enter. The ones who are coming to watch will still come to watch whether its at EC or OP. Probably get less spectators driving out to Wakey rather than more.

i thought we established that noone likes to watch head to head racing here already.. rallies are time based, targa is time based, and superlap is time based.. and everyone loves them.

head to head has had its day... too many rules and restrictions.

and as a spectator... i agree... id rather see a good couple of corners than the whole track with its boring bits... i think e/c would be better because its a bit more manicured and looked after than op, its visually better than op with a better grandstand and view points.

op is 3.5 hrs for me anyway... wakey is out of the question unless i stay overnight there and for that... the event needs to be a bit better with the timeboards etc.

Well I actually bought some 2nd hand semis for them and then some good street tyres came up. Federal 595's. Almost brand new. They'll be my street rims so street tyres are better.

Troy... Hmmmm... Not yet.

Picked up the latest issue of 'Motive' DVD during the week which has 90-odd minutes of Superlap coverage, some really good footage, well worth a look (and the thread bump hopefully!)

I thoughts they planned on running two events in 2009? I hope they are thinking about two rounds next year. I hate to admit it but i think the second round should be held in either WA or perhams SA. There are some serious cars in both states that dont make the track to the East Coast....and would make good numbers for the event.
