hey guys i was just wondering does any one have any idea how much it would cost to send a 6point bolt in fullcage from melbourne to sydney via courier?

sorry but i figured people in here would know best as most of you would have a cage in your car, please move this if there is somewhere better for it.

Thank you in advance

Gezza

Well it would be cheaper for you to drive and pick it up yourself (i'm not kidding).

The problem is most of the bars won't be straight and lots of different sizes so packaging it up will be near impossible except for some bubble wrap. It's more the weird dimensions than the actual weight (i'm guessing about 100kg) because the costs will be worked out on the total area of the bars rather than the actual dimensions and weight of the pipe itself.

Try and get a large cardboard box from a local car dealer (manufacturer not a used car yard) that they package bumpers/guards in and get as many bars into that box then just bubble wrap up the main hoop.

Edit:

TNT, Startrack Express, Toll Ipec Road, Direct Freight would be the companies to get quotes from first after you have packaged it up and got the dimensions + weights.

I sent some stuff on a pallet from Sydney to Melbourne, all up cost was about $135

Mind you, i was expecting to spend $200 due to size and weight, so when i told him it was ready to be sent and i only want your best price as im doing the call around he dropped the quote from 240 to 135 and i gave him credit card details straight away

I just had a look, cant remember the name of the company. But use that method and see how you go
