R33 Stock Parcel Shelf Speaker Case Removal

hey all, i need to put a child seat in my 33gtst and it has standard speakers on the parcel shelf. because they are quite bulky i cant get it to work proparly. does anyone know how to remove the casing around the speaker or know of another way i can get the mounting hook to fit. ive had abit of a fiddle with it but i dont want to break it.

any help would be great.

pull your back seat out and then your parcel shelf out and then the grills have nuts holding them to the shelf from underneath for memory, speakers are then just screwed to the body.

your car should probably have all the hooks n shit ready for child restraints from when it was complianced..

yeah ive taken the seat out and the parcel shelf is loose and feels like it wants to come out. have got the c-pillar clip out but it feels like something near the rear wiper is still holding. any idea what it would be. i can get to the speaker cover bolts without removing the parcel shelf but ive just moved into a new house and have no idea where my small screwdriver is. taking the parcel shelf completly out would be heaps easier.

no hooks are in it, just the hole where the hooks should go and i cant get to it because of the speaker cover
