crap. $30 well spent. although i don't know about the $5 hot dog that was as soggy as a marathon runners undies. yuk!

there were twice as many cars on show compared to last year and some awsome 7 second runs by a few cars, fastest being a mid 7 by an rx7. the drags are still on and the night is getting cooler with a good wind behind them so this time will surely be beaten. there was one skyline but he didn't get a good start.

the burnout comp was great as well including a very skilled driver in a kingswood (i think) that switched to reverse seamlessly three times when he came to the withces hats at the end of the burnout area. i counted over ten sets of tyres blown, five fires and four breakdowns. great show. i missed victor brays burnout but i did hear it all the way at the end of the parking area at the go karts. oh, and i could smell the rubber from there too.

we didn't get the final numbers for attendance but the commentator said there was 25,000 just after lunch time. don't miss it next year guys.

Yeah not a bad day. I arrived at 11am and left at 6:30pm after freezing my nuts off (forgot to take a jumper...)

The Go-To-Whoa was pretty poor. 1/2 the drivers just kept on driving straight past the stopping area without even trying to stop, how pathetic.

The burnout comp I also thought was quite pathetic. Of all the big loud earth shaking v8's sitting over behind the pits we had to put up with 50% of the cars not even able to do a burnout, about 30% able to pull wicked burnouts but died literally 10sec into the session and then the other 20% that could pull monster burnouts but the wind blew awake the smoke before i could even get to smell it (that what burnout comps are for right??).

The show and shine wasn't too bad. Went for abit of a wander over there between the burnout comp and the off-street drags. Noticed 1 skyline (the car from the Burnout comp and off-street drags). He wasn't aware of SAU so I made him aware. Neat car, fmic, pod, 3" exhaust, wheels, abit of paint work on the interior drash trim etc, abit of a sound system, wine red 95 model making 170rwkw.

The Off-street drags look quite promising as they all lined up. None of the crappy parents bombadores or work utes just strong american muscle cars with plenty of grunt. But typical Eastern Creek off-street drags, 5 cars run and then 1 breaks down, 15mins later another 5 cars run and another breaks down 15mins later... and so on. So after 2.5hrs of this and with no jumper and with light drizzle i decided to head home...

So $30 entry, sunburnt face, a life time of goosebumps and 3 dagwood dogs later i guess the day wasn't too bad. Better than watching the footy thats for sure.

I'm not sure what they will do next year coz that drag strip won't exist (but instead across the road at the new venue), so I wonder how that will all go.
