Yeah i used to own a alfa and i used hugh and i have to say he's pretty good

Cheers

Well after they swapped pump, it turns out that the actuator also buggered. The repair bill has cost him like about $4k.

It seems that due to pump issue, the actuator had not been getting enough oil pressure and began trying to do funny stuffs to the gearchanges, and ended up getting damaged as well.

The whole thing is kinda linked one to another. So he's waiting on a new actuator ($3.5k part only) then once the whole thing is on, gotta get the computer re-programmed again before the thing is back on the road...

He should have stick with his WRX :-o at least the japanese car is cheaper to fix.

So this is where they get the "Knock On Effect" saying from?

I'm not really laughing. I used to own two fun cars by Alfa

i) 1979 Alfetta GTV (which I had Endrusted 2 days after delivery) as a new car. It was arguably one of the best 70s car designs ever!

ii) 1989 Alfa Romeo 164Q

I still loved those cars - and they taught me the qualities of patience and perseverance hehe.

Even my Alfa Romeo umbrella was the 1st umbrella I've ever had, to form moth holes hehe.

If you ever need spare Alfa parts from outside Vic, you can try Tom Patrizi Motors, at Carlton Sydney.

Tom was a bower bird and kept everything. His son runs the workshop now.

Automoda run by Vince at Queens Rd Haberfield is another good reference for your network

and also 'F1' if they're still in business.

Well that Alfa is bad luck.

Got rear ended while doing nothing, parked in front of the house.

A lady which probably lives down the street where we live, was gonna overtake the parked Alfa, while she thought an oncoming car was gonna stop. She said the car didn't stop so she tried to avoid collision with the oncoming and ended up hitting the rear right corner of the alfa.

bent rear bumper and reflector broken. her commodore was in worse condition with bonet bent, headlight broken, bumper bent and needing a left front guard as well as a few items like the wheel shroud. etc. she didn't runaway though, she rang the bell and told us she's hit my brother in law's alfa and sorting out the insurance detail....

This saga is back...

my bro in law finishes his study and left behind his Alfa as he didn't advertise it early enough to sell it before he went back to Malaysia for good.

The alfa has airbag warning light on at the dash - he said it's related to driver seat buckle...

Who can fix this?

Also has a Right Light Error and LEft Light Error, I suspect he change his headlights to HID, but he seems clueless over the phone.

see pic attached of the mentioned error, and a youtube video of how it come up when car is on ignition...

wonder how cheaply can this be fixed as we had a buyer offering $6k for the sorry thing WITH RWC to be supplied

and those errors fixed.
