Hi all.

Was just wondering if it's possible to fit a second amp under the passenger seat in my 33, there's lots of bumps and stuff under there and I'm rather dubious.... I've got one amp under the driver seat already, but want to leave it there, bridge it's channels to the fronts and then put in a second amp to run 2x 10's.

In particular, I'm looking at this amp in bridged mode to run the 10's.

Is it possible? If not, where are others putting second amps? I like my audio gear to be neatly hidden from sight, and I can't just sit an amp on the boot floor anyway, as I go to the track and also need to fit a large guitar amp in there (my sub enclosure is installed in such a way it can be removed/re-installed quickly).

I've got two amps and lots of other goodies in the little compartment behind the rear seat... i.e. next to the battery and above the fuel-pump cover. Out of sight, doesn't take up any room (well, not that wasn't just wasted anyway), and wiring is fantastic (power direct from the battery, rear-speakers and sub are very close, just had to run new front speaker wires and in your case, RCA's to the HU).

I'm running a 'CarPuter' in there too, so I didn't need to run RCAs all the way up to the front of the car (had to run VGA and USB cables for the touch-screen instead :(), but I think it's a fantastic little spot for amps and other gear.

Interesting. Musta made it fun to tune the gain and crossovers :( I'll have a looksee tonight

Haha yeah it was a bit of a job... but I'm lucky coz the amps in the 'line have raised knobs for the tuning, you could just reach in and turn them as required. The one in the Lancer has kinda 'screw' ones u need a screwdriver to adjust... that would have made things pretty much impossible lol!

+1 for area behind rear seats

i made a bracket to hang down from the computer for the demister etc or whatever it does, so it just bolts on and hangs off that so I can take it off if one day i decide i want a different amp or something :P
