is there a number that it starts with to be able to tell??? if anyone knows just post it and ill read it on my phone on the way there thanks heaps guys really need some help asap

I have found this to be useful:

As N1's have been around for a while there are many varients (eg I have a pair of stock turbos with N1 internals). Make sure the exhaust wheel "nut" has only 3 or 6 sides - if it is double hex (12 point) it is almost certianly a stock ceramic type.

Tags can be removed / replaced (as is often the case when they are serviced).

Hope this helps
