r33 running crap when cold.

Hi,

I dont know if anyone can help me but it seems when i start my non turbo r33 from being cold it feels as if its real sluggish and the car kinda vibrates a bit.

It never really used to do this and i get it serviced regularly

Any suggestions why it might be doing this?

My advice:

- try higher quality oil and lubricants

- try higher quality petrol (optimax or BP Ultimate)

- take it to an IMPORT SPECIALIST for servicing.

I do

They use redline oils etc.

and i use premium, BP98 when i can afford it..

thats normal isn't it ?? the ecu has different a/f map for when its cold ..

why don't you let the car idle until it's warmed up? I do that with mine and I drive a regular joe blow family car! So what it's an extra 2/3 minutes, it's a lot better for the car (in my opinion)/

when was the last time the fuel filter was changed? give it a go...

yeah i always let my car warm up first for a few minutes. it's much better for your car, esp if its a turbo.

Then when you do take off be very gentle on her until the temperature gauge is at the normal position. This will really increase the life of your car mechanically.

i do as well but i can just tell that it sux - like it jolts a bit between 1st n 2nd gear (auto car)

i gota feeln it might be my afm anyway - ive noticd a bit of dust crap on the inside of my intake which gets me worried. so mabe my afm is dirty - but ive also heard bad things about cleaning ure afm cos it can stuff it up.
