R31Nismoid
what do u do about bolting dump pipe up to turbo when the turbo rear is round like u clamp a hose to it So it a v-band clamp and not a 4/5 bolt flange? Simple - get a dump with a v-band fitting. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248398-dump-pipe-on-turbo/#findComment-4310992 Share on other sites

mattsr31
can that v band and internal gate be taken off as it looks that way Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248398-dump-pipe-on-turbo/#findComment-4311333 Share on other sites
doo doo
yeah it's setup for external gate, you can take that whole v-band assembly off and put a normal dump on it (assuming the internal hasn't been stuffed with) or keep it and use an external gate on the manifold, then it's a simple v-band for the dump. Is the internal gate is designed to open with that setup? Is that how you're looking to have it operate? R31Nismoid
you need to weld it shit Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248398-dump-pipe-on-turbo/#findComment-4312307 Share on other sites
doo doo
Yeah weld the flap, though it's irreversible- if you just leave the lines off the actuator you might find the exhaust manifold pressure pushes it open anyway. If you don't want to weld it you could try fixing the actuator rod to the actuator bracket to keep it closed? Something I've only just thought of, shoot it down if the idea sucks.
