hey guys, i'm new to these forums although i've been basically looking on here every day for the past week or two..

=)

just wanted to ask you guys, i've recently just got a new RB25DET engine put in my r33 stocker. boost put to .9bar

she boosts okay to about .5 but after that til .9 she loses boost, like a leak or something.

im not to sure. just wanted to ask you guys at what kind of problem i should be looking at, or where to start looking??

whether it be the turbo, the vacum lines or even the fmic + piping.

any help would be awesome! thanks yew

Well 1bar is 14psi - this is not safe. Nor is .9bar IMO.

I'd be backing it off a little bit yet to be honest for ultimate reliability.

Sounds like you just need a better actuator, and check everything related to the current one (vac lines, cooler piping for leaks, split hoses etc)

I a bog stock turbo, I wouldn't bother, someone that knows what they are doing needs to adjust [probably bend] your actuator arm, if the turbo is hiflowed etc then it would be worth it to get an adjustable one, otherwise I'd save my $$$and just get a better turbo or hiflow to start with.
