Hey guys some of you may no me from this forum i've been building my GTS skyline for a while now. originally non-turbo, now with rb25det and lots of bolt-ons etc i was aiming for 300hp atw.

So far mods are:

KKR480 Turbo, Otomoto Dump Pipe, Nismo Stainless Front pipe, 3" stainless cat-back, Nismo 740cc injectors, nismo front strut brace, apexi dual pannel D1 forced pod filter, apexi turbo timer, apexi PFC, greddy intake manifold, greddy TB adaptor, greddy typre RS bov, greddy oil catch can, HKS wiring harness, JJR boost controller, Racetech Boost gauge, Hybrid FMIC, walbro intake 500hp pump.

now i had the car tuned yesterday and it looks as if i achieved 192.6kw at the fly i think? the dyno graph is included in the post!

It is running 10psi on the 'street type' actualator provided with the turbo charger. info is here: http://www.otomoto.com.au/kkr/KKR480.html

let me know what you guys think of it how it looks, any comments on it and possibly what i should do to achieve my figure!! The garage recommended a EBC, to up the boost and to bring it on earlier. Think this will help alot?

Cheers guys, Hame! :D

first of all congrats on seeing such a project through

looks like yea flywheel kw so whats that translate in rwkw- about 20% off? that would make it about 155rwkw which is pretty much stock rb25det power :D

im not really familliar with the kkr's but it looks like your have the support systems to push boost a little higher safely, but you and your mech will know its limits.

it will prob take a few more computer tweaks and dyno runs to iron everything out, but your on the right path i reckon, best of luck dude

I'd be getting it tuned for at least 15-16psi then going from there...

Get a full exhaust... then you should have all the supporting mods to get some power... also not sure on KKR's what HP figure's are they rated to...

192RWKW is pretty low for an aftermarket turbo ect ect

I and many other have made that on the stock turbo.

Seeing how you have all the supporting mods i would increase boost to about 16-18psi.

I dont see why 230-240 couldnt be achieved.

EDIT: Please say you have an aftermarket ECU.

not sure on KKR's what HP figure's are they rated to...

my understanding is that a kkr480 refers to 480hp or 355kw (~300rwkw)

and kkr430, 430hp or 318kw (~260rwkw). i could be wrong. id be impressed if a kkr430 made 260rwkw.

congrats on the project but as for the power not so good for the mods u hav my car made that power on stock turbo running 11-12psi and it was 37degrees!! so i would def be buying ebc and crank the boost up to round 16psi then u will see some decent power. goodluck jarad

yeh u need to bump it up to around 18-20psi to see anything exciting out of these turbos lol

they r cheap they do last but dont produce the figures or torque u would like haha..

good luck with it

just a quick note once u start winding boost into it plus having a free flowing exhaust no cat etc u will run into serious boost problems

reason i had to run 50mm ext gate.

thanks for the comments guys really appreciate it, i am a little dissapointed with the results.

to answer some of the questions directed at me:

1. i do already have a full exhaust system

2. yes i do have an aftermarket ecu (apexi power FC)

3. i pretty sure the flow rate on the kk4480 is 480hp.

okay so basically wind up the boost?! i have a manual (JJR bleed type) boost controller sitting in my garage. i

1. if i fitted this up and got it running 16psi would i see a good power increase?

2. would it REALLY effect the tune?

3. if i look into an ebc what should i get? (i have looked at the boost controll kit that comes with the PFC)??

Cheers hame!

If you increase the boost you will need a retune.

So enjoy the car for a bit, when you get bored of the power go to your tuners and get the boost controller installed + a retune.

As for EBC the Profec B 2 is the best bang for your buck.

ahh bugger wish i had thought of this before i had got the tune! ah well cant win them all it a learning curve! it has been a long road and i guess at the end of the day im happy as i built her at home with no prior knowledge! thanks NYTSKY for the info i'll look into the profec B 2.

Why in hell is the operator using flywheel KW?? i own the same dyno and have never used this feature....

your figure seems pretty low mostly because of boost, you should be able to safely run 16psi all day, ive done a few NA+t's pushing mid 200's and they often see track days...

moring guys, thanks for the comments i was hoping it was atw i mean if it wasn't that is basically stock power!? just dosen't make sense! it is not a NA+t. it is the full rb25det engine conversion. So any more ideas? can i just bump up the boost with a manual controller without a tune?

JUST: asked tuner on phone he said that it is ATW not at the fly like the dyno grpah suggests!
