the reason you cant just bump up the boost without changing the fuel map is because you would be adding in "16psi" worth of air but only adding in the fuel for the "10psi" it was tuned for. This leaves you with a lean AFR and a potentially dead engine.

Even with low boost.

Seems very little power to be extracting out of engine that otherwise has well set out mods

You sure Hame thre isnt any other mechanical problems with the car?

Hey chris, i'm pretty sure there is no mechanical issues with the car, a small coolant leak from one of the stock 'looped' turbo water lines is all i know of!

yeah i understand that just thought there may have been some lee-way if i added in a couple of psi!

ring your tuner and ask why he stopped feeding it at 10psi...

seeing you had a boost controller i'd assume he'd definately be shooting for more.

i was under the impression that the 430 will give around 230 rwkw on an rb25...

imho get on the blower to your tuner :P

do you have forged internals?

if you wind it up to 16-18psi you will see a massive increase in power, and yeh a tune would be required to maximise potential and keep it safe. profec b goes for like $380, plus maybe $100 to install. try slidingperformance.com, or look for SLIDE on here. they were quite cheap and deliver fast. or just jap in syd.

thanks for that yeah i'll look into it. The reason tuner did not wind any more boost into the tune was because the actualtor stops it at 10psi. There are two types of actualtor that you have option with the kkr480 turbo street type and race type. mine being the street type only hold 10psi.

and no, no forged internals..

oh well dont go berserk, the standard internals are good for maybe 250rwkw to be safe. 16psi is porobably a good bet.

im pretty sure with an ebc, the actuator doesnt matter so much. you can set whatever boost you like.

That turbo should make 300hp, but remember its not just the power hp/kw you make thats important, but when you reach it! Ofcourse a bigger turbo will make more power, but with more lag and traction issues on boost in rwd application, the next stage for 300rwkw for instance with an rb25det would be best suited with a Garrett gt3076r.
