Not 100% sure.....Stock dumps, SS Y piece, then 3.5" SS system through a brand new hi-flow cat, then to the rear canon. Not sure if it has a hotdog in there, but I don't think so. It's not toooo noisy, but clearly if I had CHiPs on my tail I might be sweating it a bit.....

OK, here we go.

The 'small' Garrett turbos (7s)

Power FC

Tomei 700cc injectors

Adjustable cam wheels

Forged pistons

Full bottom end re-build

Oil cooler

Large capacity aluminium radiator

Approx. 305 RWKW and a shitload of torque.

Now thats what im talking about; that is my future mod list appart from the oil cooler and radiator.

305rwkw; about 280awkw? Not too bad at all.

Thanks mate. If you're tracking it, keeping engine temps down is vital or your mega $$ rebuild will come around again sooner than you want.

Just a street car man; my oil temps right now never go over 88degrees. I have it tuned ATM with stock turbines to 255awkw and really like the response so ill definitely be going -7 or -ss when the yen comes back up.

How would you, taking the first drive till now rate the -7's in terms of standard response? ive read alot on this site about the -7's but prefer to hear from actual owners.

Torque at low rpm is what im interested in and removal of that top end post 7000rpm restriction from stockers.

how high do your oil temps get on the track anyways

:)

Really hard to say about the difference with the tubos as it was a couple of years ago when they went on. Stuffed if I can remember. When they went on the car went from 190RWKW to 260 RWKW so it all felt pretty damn good! I don't recall feeling any additional lag when they went on. Never driven anything else so can't comment on the 5s. I would like more top end in mine, but I might already have that, but with so much mid-range torque it might be masking what is actually a good top end perfomance. Just want that last mad rush for the limiter. Might also be the tune. Tuner has said it's tuned for torque as it makes the car quicker (in real world situations) in almost all but flat stick applications (which never happen as often as you think).

I've heard journos challenging each other to keep the trottle pinned for more than 15 seconds in a Veyron as it is apparently almost impossible unless you've got a runway at your disposal. Same, but to less extent, might apply to the old GTR. Wide open for long periods = not very often.

Oh yeah, oil temp about 100-110 on the track.

Thanks for the impression man, im sure the top end is better than stock though. Maybe some cams may open the topend without sacrificing the mid; i know that in my old s15 some stage 1 HKS cams were fantastic.

15 second in a veyron would be like about 200mph, i think its 0-300 in 14seconds so if your already doing 60kph and flat foot for 15seconds you would be going 350kph and thats not exactly comforting lolz.

Only certain sections of the autobahn would be possible!!!

100-110 would freak me out on the road, when i get the new turbos if my temps go anymore than 95degrees then ill definitely grab an oil cooler.

Amazing looking car you have though, the r32 gtr is just sooooo aggresive like twoogle and a few members on this site.

100 to 110 depending on the oil grade [i.e 10 w 40] should still be pretty safe. mine went up to 113 degrees on a track day with 35 degree heat. Thats about the max i think you would ever want to run. if it was always that warm [air temp] i would def go for an oil cooler. will be interesting to find out what oil temp will be on say a 23 degree day. A friends 997 on the day ran up to 130 degree's. no problems- yet anyway. If you get a cooler, get a thermostat. Oil under 75-80 wont do you any favours. wanna know more have a look on gtr.co.uk. look for a thread by oilman. full of really good info

My old 32 looked identical to this one. Always flamed 3rd to 4th. and night time mountain runs were brilliant, it always lit up the cliff face!!

'a mountain pass lighting up the cliff faces with flames!' seems like a scene from fast n furious 4 :P

130degrees in a porsche.....wow! must be some heavy grade factory stuff

Does anyone know the benefits of the boxer engines when it comes to lubrication????? :) (lateral g'z and temp)

Yeah well there was no CGI Johnny, let me assure you!! :P

The porka's was running very warm, the fans belted out hot air by the front wheels for about 5 minutes. There must be two radiators/thermo fans in those things up front.. Not sure the advantages of the boxer setup though...
