The porka's was running very warm, the fans belted out hot air by the front wheels for about 5 minutes. There must be two radiators/thermo fans in those things up front.. Not sure the advantages of the boxer setup though... All '911' Porkers are dry sumped and run oil coolers. Not sure about the whole boxer thing, other than I'm pretty sure it all goes back to the flat 4 in the original Beetle......That would have been a 'packaging' decision I reckon. I paid a King's ransom to have mine 'opened up'. It wasn't by choice though. Poor old girl spun as bearing at Winton.
