As per the title, I want to lower my car a little.

Have the SK Bilstein package (I think 4 circlip groves).

For a 34 GTT, do the shocks have to be removed to adjust the circlip?

are we talking big job to remove them or quick / easy 'in car' adjustment?

cheers Chris

Ive got an R32 with the same package, and i have adjusted the circlips with the shock in the car. I found it pretty difficult to do though; its a two man job because youve gotta get one person with a long bar to lever the spring up so that it compresses and takes the load off the circlip, while the other bloke uses circlip pliers to reposition the circlip. It might be easier for you though, as i was raising the car, and i had the compress the spring much more than you will.

If the 34 is similar, its only 3 bolts and the shock is out of the car, so its not the end of the world if they have to be removed for adjustment. I reckon it would take an hour to remove, adjust, replace all four.

Try to do it in the car though, its pretty basic, you just need more hands.

Shaun.
