we may as well start living in caves and clubbing to death our dinner in the scrub each day too.

Thats the spirit, none of this girly stuff... its a mans world, going clubbing doesn't mean dressing like a homo and shaking your tush to synthesised drum beats, alpha male shouldn't be the best dressed most cultured and well to do - its all about bigger, harder, faster, more! Whoa betide us if being bigger wasn't being better, imagine if it wasn't that way - if when journos were overwhelmed by the Skyline GTRs domination they labelled it "Skink" or perhaps "Newt"? But thank god they and we know the truth - that the man who has the most boost, the most CCs, the most PSI, the greatest hp/litre - will get dyno sheets to which all will bow, no meal will escape him and more females will be dragged to his cave than any other.

Amen, Brother DirtGarage.

I did some quick maths on the RH9 GTR versus the GAS Supra and hp/ci (efficiency) the GTR wins hands down.

I made the suggestion over the weekend that there should be an award for most hp/litre in the dyno comps.

Also, I wonder what power at the rear wheels RH9 would have laid down?

They dropped it due to arguements over unknown engine capacities.

eg: RH9 is now 2.6 not 2.7 as it used to be...and is the GAS Supra a 3.0, 3.2 JUN or 3.4 Titan ?

i wana know how he plans to run a 9 second pass with those wheels and brakes...

i swear the brakes are the same size as my gtst....

its because they are the same...wheels will be STD R32 GTR items and tyres will be MT SDR's

ahh k sweet.

man i still cant get over how awesome this was...i am going to go have dinner at babar's friday because im so impressed by it...that and they make a killer club sandwich and there is usually a nice car out the front haha.

reckon you'll line him up at the drags paul???

ill line anything up at the drags...getting chopped doesn't upset me like some others.

not saying that he will win either...there's more to racecars than mega dyno numbers.

depends what turbo/engine its running too...but John and i race cars for the fun and excitement of it...not the competition.

RH9? There's enough power to run a 7 :nyaanyaa:

What box is in it, Paul? And will it be running in the fastest street car comp at WSID next month?

Peter Hollinger 6 speed seq. I will be going to WSID if ready...RH9 is back in QLD.

absolutely stunning results, how does this power output compare to marks own gtr?

one question, how come the use of stock crank/capacity and not the 2.7L?

i know the 2.6L can do it obviously but was there any particular reason why the JUN crank wasnt used?

i cant wait to see this and pauls car out on the strip, godzilla motorsport is gonna be the biggest gtr shop in oz by far, though i think it already is :nyaanyaa:

is rh9 running the vipec ecu or motec?

Marks car is ran on methanol so id guess RH9's figure is slightly lower...but thats only guessing.

the JUN engine was a little 'tired' and i think it was a wise decision to run the Godzilla engine as all the credit for the result obtained was all their own work.

RH9 is M800 MoTeC...TWO.06L is V88 Vi-PEC

    • Before you blow your car up, have you checked you've made all the correct modifications to the wiring if you're still using the RB20DE loom?   Some things to look at: The pin used for the map sensor on the RB25DET, is the same pin used on the RB20DE for the Ring Gear Crankshaft Position Sensor, no idea what you've got it plugged into now. The turbo pressure control valve solenoid you're talking about on the RB25DET, the same pin is used for the Variable Air Intake Control Valve on the RB20DE.   The factory manual has the wiring pinouts in it for you to check everything. It also has the diagnostics process to read codes out. In addition, there's a great table that shows what sensors and what actuators not functioning will relate to which signals. And Nissan confirm the as everyone else has from experience, the Solenoid being disconnected won't cause a fuel cut. However, the turbo pressure sensor being missing / wrong, WILL cause a fuel cut. https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual?fsm=Skyline%2FR34-Workshop-Manual-English.pdf
    • I've been hunting info on the G Series II - this is best I have found so far(Link below). Still waiting on the G35-1150 comp map, kind of very keen   So how do we go about getting precision on that little table of yours ?   https://turbosbytm.com/sites/default/files/product/technical-info/Garrett-G-Series-II-Product_Flyer 25 30 35_1.pdf
    • yeah I get ~0.6L per session into the catch can. very ethanoly. It ends up overflowing out the breather of the catch can on circuit days too even with a 2.3L capacity catch can and I only drain out ~0.6L max. So every session I have to come in and drain the catch can, which is a hassle. So this is me cracking the shits and doing everything I can without removing the motor (back of head sump drain/breather and oil restrictors off the table). plans short term are: full length splash plates remove oem cam cover baffle add foam and reinstall at -10 or -12 AN fittings to the side of the cam covers down to the sump (luckily I already have fittings in the sump) Yes the ~340,000km unopened motor is probably not helping things
    • I'd use any fuel safe foam....mine went in 15 years and 15 rebuilds ago, still getting reused I'd have to say I don't understand swapping to studs to fit a particular baffle unless you are having a massive blowby issue, and even if you are addressing crankcase not head breathing is probably the next step.
    • BTW, the reason I came in here to "update" this list was that the Garrett G Series II range have been released and I've updated the list with their flow details if you're curious to check how they fit with previous Garretts and other brands The G-Series II G35 990 looks like a banger...
