internal, and he is probably looking at needing to run ~15-17psi

Correct - Its internal but I plan on running about 20psi from the turbo (17 - 18psi at the manifold).

I'm getting a new turbo aswell. HKS 2510 :):thumbsup::D;):banana:

2510? Thats a bit small for an RB20 isnt it?

That's what he is after, something small and responsive.

Fair enough but I think that a better option would be an HKS GT28/35 Pro S - Extremely responsive turbo but big enough for real power gains.

Im expecting the 30/76 to reach full boost (20psi) at around 4000 - 4500rpm, it should start building boost from around 2200 - 2500 though.

Im not 100% sure though, your best off asking someone who uses a GT30/76 already.

mine starts building at 2500-3000 i get full boost at 3500

so 20 psi at 4 sounds about right

Its not how small it is but how you use it

I should be getting full boost (20psi) around 2500-2800, boost coming on around 1500-1800, and hoping to get 200kw at the rears or more, but with a mega torque curve (for a rb20)

Should be able to use 3rd when I was needing 2nd before at wakie, and I wont bog down as much at motorkhana's/Drifting

    • Correct, I didn't put GT-R in the same category in this thread, incase I offend anyone. But @GTSBoy  knows my true thoughts on all Nissans.
    • Get more oil pressure sensors. I have 3 purely because trust no-one. It would be worth checking (if not already) if it happens on every shift. Like boring, 2-3 shifts at 60kph making 10kw with no obvious G-force on a shift with mega power. Does it still drop? Does it drop less? What if you shift at 5000rpm or what have you with no load?
    • Unless things that you want to do include reference to time. Simple Boolean logic is only good for digital inputs or analogues that have been thresholded into digitals. But unless you also have a timer function available (which would more ideally be located inside the program, rather than being forced to implement a timer outside the ECU and bring it in as a seperate digital for every time delay you want to implement), then you can't do some of the things that you might want to do. My PLC ladder logics are obviously littered with program blocks, because that's easier than building it all in ladder gates, but the most frequent of those program blocks is a simple timer, because you actually can't otherwise do that in ladder at all.
    • Log voltage. I'm suspecting the alternator. Or even maybe a bad earth somewhere. ie, seeing as it is rev dependent, I am thinking it is alternator dependent.
    • Yeah so N1 and any other larger than factory pump are pretty famous for pumping the sump dry...obviously we don't often get to spend 20 or 30 seconds at high rpm/full noise on the road so I'd still be suspicious that is what is happening here.
