And what didnt the search button answer exactly?

Being there is a 8+ page thread on the 480...

Being more specific might help for a better answer... otherwise i reckon the other thread will almost certainly answer your questions

from my experience there are no pros for the kkr turbos. i have had too many problems with them in such short little. such as internal wastegate jamming open, oil seals on the turbine shaft failing. i bought it brand new, and no later than 1 month, i had to send it back cause the wastegate had jammed open, was only running 14 psi. no sooner had i put it back on, within a month i had to send it back again to get the seals replaced. and only 3 months ago the seals went again, so i threw it in the rubbish and spent the money on a garrett gt3030r which is what i should have done in the first place and saved a lot of time and hassles.

i'm not saying all kkr turbos are them same. but i am not buying one ever again.

they are just cheep chinese turbos.

you get what you pay for here.

ok question is what one should i go with the 430 or 480, want half decent power and not heaps of lag

if I had the money to upgrade I wouldn't be keeping mine either :nyaanyaa:

simon is correct lol shame on you

i own a kkr480 have for over a yr n half now runs 20psi daily and done over 25,000kms

but if ur not after lagg then i wouldnt get one i dont see 20psi until around 4500rpm or bit later

and they are only good for around 240-250rwkw which isnt much power at all....

sell it and get a decent turbo! cause ur only gonna run into more troubles there biggest one wastegate issues.

haha would love to sell it and not use one :( but as not having much money at the moment sort of restricts what i can do cos i have to change the dump etc over again and that's gonna cost more money :(

decent power & not much lag & KKR turbocharger

is a contradiction

sell the turbocharger and buy a well proven unit

HKS 2530, HKS GT-RS, Garrett (many equivs), and so on...

sorry but you wont get what you want with the KKR range

and the 480 will have more lag (ie; larger housing and wheels)

I have a KKR 480 (on a RB25DET), and it sucks arse. I'd be looking maybe a Holset or a Garrett replacement for mine, and given that even highflows can make around the same power as these, why would you bother?

Surely you'd almost be going backwards with a NEO motor and one of these turbos as well!

did you get it from ebay or otomoto and how much did you pay

well found out why the turbo was *extra* crappy the waste gate hole was like a 16mm but ment to be like 25mm ?

like i said before i *know* they are not that good but with not much funds atm ;) gotta make do with what i can

only place that sell genuine kkr turbo's is otomoto all them ebay stores are ripoff's which = junk that will fall apart/break in first few weeks/months

From my experience with the kkr's, the ottomoto ones aren't any better. I replaced a new one one twice whilst on the dyno, and it required extensive mods to make it hold boost.

i got it from otomoto and i think for memory i paid around $1000 that was for turbo and the dump pipe to suit rb25det. i had kkr 480 and they are so laggy its funny. seriously.

i have heard some good things about them but probaly more bad there must just be some lucky peaple that get the good ones

yeah i hear very mixed results about them :P

yeah think i might just stay with the 430 for the time been ;)

yes holding boost is there bad factor aswell as being very laggy and not making that good of power..

best bet is to run a 50mm external gate straight off the scroll then u wont have any dramas

there a cheap turbo for 250rwkw though but id go a gt35r or gt30 anyday over it if i had the chance again lol
