Driving a car is a privilege NOT a right. So if the law decides that you should not have access to certain cars when you are a P plater you have no reason to be upset.

Can you think of a P plater stupid enough to play up in front of a cop?

Should be restrictions for bad driving, not rewards for good driving. They gotta show consistency.

Like getting a job, being on probation and the boss sees you do one good thing at the right time and you get a pay rise ... doesn't happen

I think some people need an understanding of the word "probation".
