Hey guys.. finally whacked a boost guage on quickly to see what she was doing and I noticed that I maxes out at 5.5psi. I've done the mod where the hoses are rerouted so that the bleeder is towards the BOV dump pipe etc. still no extra boost.. I tried it as standard with the 2 stage setup.. still maxes at 5.5psi..

Any ideas.. I'm at a loss.

tried the solinoid trick, did on mine its running just under 10psi but peaks at just over 10

Yeah, tried that too.. still nothing over 5.5psi. It's really got me stuffed

Is there any chance the BOV could be opening all the time at 5psi? or is that impossible being that its only supposed to open when vacuum applied to the top?

How did it feel after the boost mod? Better/quicker? If so, is it possible that the boost guage is faulty? Not trying to be a smartass, but I am a firm believer in eliminating the easily-tested factors first...

Assuming that you've done it correctly (i.e. no hoses now connected to the solenoid , hose going from intercooler pipe to T, hose going from T to actuator and the other going to BOV return pipe and the restrictor now in the line going to the blow off return pipe), increasing the size of the hole in the restrictor should give you more boost - or if you are able to be carefull with your accelerator foot you could remove the restrictor altogether for test puposes and see if your boost guage starts heading for 20psi. If it does then just drill out the restrictor a bit at a time until you get 10psi. If it doesn't ...

1. Your boost guage is no good (how does the car go? feel like its being boosted or not?

2. Leaks in the intercooler and or piping

3. Gasket leaks

4. Your turbo is no good

5. Your wastegate is malfunctioning

Well the tubing is exact.... the restrictor is at 1.5mm so should be more than enough for the 10psi... I'm not sure that I felt any diff when doing it as I did the zorst and filter at the same time.. so could have been those that made the difference.. will pull the restrictor and feather the throttle and see what the guage does..
