Hey guys, ive got a car that i need to get complied but im not exactly sure what needs to be done to it...

its had the side intrusion bars done in the doors. its got all new tyres and will have new seatbelts and exhaust as well soon. changed the pod for original airbox. i think i have to change the fuel filler aswell.

im looking to get the compliance done myself. the car falls under the 15 year rule aswell...

it doesnt need child restraints as the car is only a two seater.

i live in south australia and the car is a mazda rx7 fc convertible. (i know its not a skyline but good help is hard to find, so why not ask some import lovers :)

any help would be appreciated, Thanks Brendan...

sounds pretty good what you're listed already.

Just to clarify, you imported this car before the 15 year scheme changed to the pre '89 scheme, right? Or is it a pre-89 anyways?

Brendan, you'll need to go into TransportSA and ask for a Statement of Requirements.

They've got generic forms that go through the ADRs you'll need to meet to get the car registered, but unfortunately they're not available anywhere else apart from Regency, from what I can gather. Perhaps try your local first.

yeah im pretty sure its either an 86 or an 88... do you know if i just take the car to regency and they fit the compliance plate?

Thanks...

They do an identity check there too, I believe, but Iron Chef is your best resource for this.

Also, the pre-89 scheme is supposed to come in with an import approval from DOTARS, did you get this? Or possibly it was imported before 2004?
