Man, your in for a bad couple of months! I had it end of 2002, didn't get out of bed for a couple of weeks, and my throat swelled up so bad i couldn't talk or eat for 3 days! The doc told me i had it bad, and it took me ages to get completey over it.... like half a year!

But having said that, a mate of mine had it and didn't even know, went to work as usual and went to the doc after a month of feeling like crap and she said he had had it for the past month and couldn't believe he didn't realise!! I guess it depends on the situation....

I had it last year... knocked out pretty bad... took me about 3 weeks to get back on my feet... like others have said just no energy, sleeping all day, sore throat (kinda feels like tonsillitis), etc. That said, my immune system is still not back where it used to be... and it's about 20 months since I had it... I just get sick really easily now, and a little cold knocks be about pretty hard.

Really annoying, coz I'm like, it's just a cold... but I'm dead for a week!

Good luck with it!

I have had it (shows up on medical tests) but wasnt aware I had had it.

I have known of others who were flat on their backs 3 months with it. so there is a lot of scope.

Best bet is to look after yourself by eating right, exercising lightly and removing stress (deal and close any issues such as relationships/finances/family/work which give you psychological stress)

The more you worry and push yourself the longer it will take to get over it.

PS - that will be $75, please pay on the way out LOL

yea i have had it and i was stuffed and out for 2 months. same as most sleeping all the time and no energy. but i also got a touch of hepatitis (food poison), which didnt help much either.

The other bad thing is u shouldn't get on the booze for a fair while, i had 6 months where i didn't touch a drop and another 6 where i didnt touch much more. that was all 4 years ago and i still feel it now and again if i dont take care of myself....

Lol... you can't catch hepatitis from food.... hepatitis is an inflamed liver.... sure you didn't mean gastroenteritis ?

Sounds like the food poisoning would have knocked you around a fair bit... I had it (glandular) for a few weeks in 2001, I lost around 10 kilos in the first week... too bad u cant market it as a diet plan, otherwise I could make some good $...

-D

    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
    • I'd say it's a fair bet that the feed and return fluid lines will be in different enough spots that you would need to come up with a way to cut the originals short and adapt with new hard line adaption or braided teflon hoses or somesuch. But really, you have the car, you have the photos of the DMAX rack - you should be able to go out there and see for yourself whether they're in the same or different spots.
    • I've been doing some looking around and honestly was just considering throwing a new rack at it. I saw that the dmax silvia rack bolts up into the 33 with the silvia bushings but not sure if the high pressure lines will sit in the correct spot. I believe other version of the 33 rack are the same/similar to the racks that can be opened up without as much fuss so I assume the dmax rack would fit but any ideas?
    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
    • A bit late but A disk S13P fit over stock R32 GTR brakes, usually A disk front, O disk rear works.
