A Little Advise On And Engine Transplant

hi guys, just had a few quick questions on an engine transplant. i have been forced into this and my r33 was written off, and me being no insured make's things difficult. The engine/gear box is all fine, so my plan is to drop it into a rolling shell and go from there.

1. Would it be worth doing an 180sx rb25 conversion? As I have all the hardware already and my uncle is a mechanic, best mate is an auto elec so it should be quite cheap. if i can find the shell

2. how much lighter is an r32 shell then a r33, would that be worth looking at??

3. how much should i be looking to pay, at the moment i don’t want to spend more then $2,500 on my shell. is that just to cheap??

4. where should i be looking for shell's, because i have only found 1 good one and its in cairns, im in Canberra so that kinda makes it hard . Other then that I haven’t found anything good

any other ideas you guys have would be great, as im not quiet sure what to do in this situation.

AN RB20DET would be enough in a 180sx....id go with that option...

the weight difference in the r32 and r33 gts-t's are bout 40-60 kg!

^^ Thats not what he asked.

The RB25DET into a 180sx/Silvia is relatively easy. Just remember that the suspension wasn't set up to handle that kind of front end weight.
