I recently purchased a set of subframe bushes for my r32 gtr. I had pulled the subftrame out myself and took it pedders to fit the bushes. The problem is when i put the diff/subframe back in the car the swaybar was touching on the tailshaft. The new bushes dont sit flush with the subframe on the top but they do on the bottom. Is this normal? i cant remember what the old ones looked like. The new ones have about a 1.5cm extension on them like the diagram i drew. I'm a bit worried they sent me the wrong bushes.

You may have GTST bushes. I think they are the same apart from a raised section on the GTST ones, like you have. As far as I know the subframe is the same for GTST and GTR but the mounting points on the main chassis are what differs. Whiteline Plus do subframe bushes now, their tech department may be able to shed more light on it?

Thanks for the info i'll look into it asap and let you know what they say.

It sounds like you have the correct bushes, the GTR ones stick up about 2cm from the subframe. There is also a large washer that sits on top of the bush and spaces it down even further.

I'd have to have a closer look but the tailshaft should clear the sway bar by miles. Are both the tailshaft and sway bar bolted in fully? sway bar only fits one way so it can't be that?
