i bought my r33 almost 2 years ago with 55k on the clock, now its almost 95k.....thankfully nothing has gone wrong except that in the first week i bought it, first the left hand side head light blew, a few days later the right hand side.... :D apart from that everything is clockwork.

i am currently planning a timing belt/water pump etc change as i am approaching 100k.

Much much better handling. HICAS rear wheel steering over 80km/h with camber adjust by the computer so u can take corners awesome at a high speed. No more broken plastic clips and crap bodyroll. The vl had lots of bodyroll and just crap overall handinling. you can take the r33 sideways and it will just glide around, versus vl and others with mega bodyroll and tons of oversteer. massive power increase, i went from auto 3litre vl non turbo to 2.5litre turbo 5 speed and its psycho the amonut of power. lgiht the rear wheels up at any time you like without a strain. better interior, must more stylish and functional. the comfort is a million times better. the japs did some awesome engineering work under the hood and also did a lot of comfort and luxury into it. japs love to have lots of gadjets and be very comfortable. HICAS applies to series II slylines 1996-1997-1998 could even be some late series II 95's that have it too but its cool :P

A good example was my old R33 GTS. Excellent condition. 2 Owners. 90,000KM. Got a lousy 30,000 yen when I traded it in to buy an R34. (and I had to twist the dealers arm to give me that much for it!!!

An r33 GTS traded for $400 AUD???

You sure you don't mean 300,000 yen?

My '95 came with 69,000 - now it has 77,000 km.

Not for want of trying.

I've had maybe out of the ordinary dramas with this car let's just say...

T.

I wish:( No, 30,000 yen is all I got for it as a trade in. I was expecting it to be low since N/A GTS's don't fetch much in Japan, but not that low. In retropsect I wish I had kept the car, especially considering that a month earlier I'd spent 70,000 yen on a complete new set of tires...:P:):(

live and learn eh...

Very suspisious of mine...blew the engine was ment to have done only 80,000 when i got it i did 7,000 and the engine blew (melted pistons etc...)

was cheaper to buy half cut (auto box) with 70,000km's on it ($1600)...runs the best it ever has

wheel bearings went the other day (had them in half cut)...also replaced fuel pump, clutch.

New motor is perfect...Will got lots of km's out of this baby!
