if the grommet in the fuel tank inspection cover is convex or concave ie does it dome towards the bootlid, or down towards the tank? i think i might've found a found a factory fcuk up. bit late for a refund.

Had a quick look at my at where the fuel pump is, I think that's what you're talking about. my domes towards the tank with 2 wires going through it.

yep, it's a rubber grommet about the diameter of a 50 cent piece and it sits in the plate that you need to take off to get to the fuel tank. there is a harness that runs through it, on the other side it splits into two; one for the sender and one for the pump.

sounds like the right one. i can only get mine to sit so it domes towards the tank but the manual shows it doming upwards.
