R33 Owner, Male Seeking A Carwash Partner :)

Recommended Posts

Ok, it has come to my attention.. i look like a knob out there at the carwash washing my car for hours on end LOL i can see the look on peoples faces.. does this guy have a home?

LOL well to be honest i love washing my car, ill spend hours there at the DIY places.. and all i really go there for is the high pressure rinse.. (DONT ever use that broom looking brush, its evil i tell ya) no ive never used it, but i hate seeing people using, no offense intented. i like to pressure rinse all the dirt off, and i awalys bring my own products, start soaping her up with the good stuff of ur choice and then re rinse her, repeat that process, and then go for the spot free rinse after all is done go out and give her the good ol chamois quality of course (not those free nulons you guys got!) but yeh the point is the process takes hours, especially if your a really picky person. you can always tell if someone knows how to wash there car by the swirl marks on there, usually from people washing there cars straightaway without pre rinsing the dirt off, using that broom brush or when people decide to wax/polish their cars without it being washed prior and u hear that dirt scraping sound.. hurts your ears

so who here likes to clean their cars? im not talking about getting it detailed, or auto wash etc i mean doing it urself, using ur own products? tell us ur secrets and tips! or even offer to take me on a date and we can get soapy... weird but strangely arousing

i wanna invest in a ac/dc converter for my car so i can bring along a buffer, then i can wax/polish aswell on the spot!

infact im going to wash my car now.. keen anyone?

I use to be really into washing my car, but now i couldn't give a crap, once i get a bit of paintwork done then i will go back to being a car cleaning perfectionist.

If you do a proper clay, cut'n'polish & wax just once then you'll only need to spend 30min-1hr to shampoo & dry her everytime. After that maybe clay & re-apply wax every other month. Also, there's already this -> Polishes/ wax sticky thread for tips and what products others use...and sowie no I wont be your carwash partner.

i clean my skyline probably every weekend, every month i'd give it a give polish using turtle wax products or sonex, both have given me very good results. But usually i'd just use high pressure hose to get rid of tuff grime, then rinse, then clear coat polish, then rinse it all off.

I hate seeing the car dirty anyway lol.....if i keep it clean i enjoy driving it more

i just take my car and put in 3 bux and clean my car haha im on a budget, put in 2 bux in soak the car then use that gay brush then keep using it when the money runs out until im happy then wash off and wax with the other dollar. haha

I'd go wash my car anytime, if I could take the UPS delivery chick from the stalking white Van thread ,the one with painted on shorts yum!!!. ...thanks for that Chad  I'm still laughing/drooling..lol

I wash at home most of the time off the rain water tank..... less waterspots . car wash is ok for a quickie wash,to rid the main dirt or view the chicks in the wash getting foamy...lol

buffer work is best left to a house or normal power point and not rushed like a busy car wash ? in the shade ?

Shamefully there is no point in me washing my car all that often. I live off a dirt road, and i live on a 5 acre property, with other 5 acre properties around, and they happen to have horses in them. So the the ground is just basically dust, so as soon as i wash my car...it gets dust again. I may wash my car and wax and polish it on Christmas day, looks like ill be spending the day at home.

ohh rainwater he says? good idea!

water restrictions ftl. i use less water with a hose compared to using buckets

Damo ,I agree... but my rainwater tank has a hose on it with enough pump pressure... not a bucket rinse method and the car is on the lawn when I do wash it with water. sometimes I use waterless cleaners?

water savings with bucket rinse? , I dont think so !!, I tested it before the law and by checking the water meter before and after, using buckets VS the hose

buckets failed, takes a lot more water to rinse with buckets. and if done on the lawn it saves me from watering for a while.

you can always tell if someone knows how to wash there car by the swirl marks on there, usually from people washing there cars straightaway without pre rinsing the dirt off, using that broom brush or when people decide to wax/polish their cars without it being washed prior and u hear that dirt scraping sound.. hurts your ears :)

LOL dude you'd probably top yourself if you saw the state of my cars

i dunno Ruby, this is still the winner http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Da...amp;hl=Damo_R34

Thanks. So my title is still secure? :)

I'd have to start getting a bit more creative otherwise

My car just gets a quick hose over, spot cleaned and wipe down with a chamois and put under a cover for a few weeks until it comes out again when I have some free time again..

It just made me think of something... those idiots that will spend thousands on their cars and never wanting to drive their incase it gets a small stone chip or something  cars are ment to be driven
