Correct  Honda and EVO guys have been getting >500whp/low 10s out of them for years now.

I don't think any of the RB guys have been able to even come close to that number. I just spend 20 minutes going through the RB25 dyno thread and all the results I have seen so far for the GT3076 have been in the 240-290rwkw. The GT35r guys are putting down the kinds of numbers you are talking about though. I have also looked at several different sites and all the guys who are selling them advertise them as 500hp turbo's (not rwhp).

And about the 10's, super light weight honda's and not much heavier Evo's with AWD don't need much hp to run 10's.

Who on here has both maxed out a .82a/r REAL 56t GT30R (most of the ones in the dyno results thread aren't or are only on 1-1.3bar) or even better, on race gas? I said that number in reference to guys maxing the turbo out on C16.

In this list you can see a few cars running FP 3052 (basically a GT3076R from Forced Performance) doing around the 10s at >130mph in Eclipses which weigh >1300kg, or basically R33 GTS25t weight but with 4WD transmission loss. You'd need a few hps to do that in a street car of that weight....

Noone on here has really pushed a real GT3076 to the limit so i guess we wont know until someone does.

Hopefully me, when i get my car back together and tuned on E85

Nice, I really look forward to seeing how that goes - it may well surprise a few people. Is that something that might be happening soonish?

This puts into perspective how useable and potent a GT30R can be, running 470whp (350wkw) on pump gas in a FWD Honda in the US - remember this is a MPH speed, these little bursts of acceleration would have to be in 4th and 5th gear.... so light car or not thing engine is really making some power and torque:

While this may be the case, I still can't see a GT30 anything making 570rwhp. TheMafia on here is running one with water/meth injection and is around 400rwhp. Maybe he can get more out of it, but 170hp more?

Also, no matter what a GT30r can make, the BW S360 is a MUCH bigger turbo with MUCH higher hp capabilities. It's bigger than a GT35r.

I'm not trying to say the GT3076 isn't a fantastic turbo, it just shouldn't be compared to a GT3076.

No and you won't run a GT3076R to its gas flow limits with a 0.82 A/R turbine housing .

You need to go back to the turbine flow map of the GT3076R (700382-12) and see the difference between the 0.82 and 1.06 A/R turbine housings .

I really can't understand why people make the jump from GT3076R's to GT3582R's without having tried the 1.06 housing first . Blind Freddy can see from the maps that most are running out of exhaust flow not compressor pumping capacity .

There is no guarantee that a GT3076R with with a 1.06 turbine housing will have a higher boost threshold than a GT3582R with an 0.82 hot side , what you can see is that the petrol GT30 turbine map looks a lot better than the petrol GT35 one .

I've had suspicions for a long time that Garrett jerked everyone off with the turbine housings on 3582R's , I suspected that they were machined out GT30 castings and someone here recently confirmed that they "make" GT35 housings out of GT30 ones if they can't easily buy them .

The upshot is that you get a higher expansion ratio in larger A/R turbine housings and if the turbo is sized properly you often don't get the turbine lag that people quiver over .

If you want to look at diesel engine turbos there are only a few with the 76.2mm GT37 compressor - GT3576 and GT3776 . Both use GT40 compressor housings and compared to petrol GT3076Rs huge hot sides .

To have any hope of getting all 43 beans out of a GT3076R you have to use the 1.06 turbine housing .

Dredging up an old thread but has relevance ATM .

Just wanted to mention that for people wanting to extend the capabilities of their GT3076R's have a think for a sec about the respective GT30 and GT35 exhaust housing castings probably being the same .

Same flange size and in theory same A/R housing but with a bit more of the guts profile machined out if its intended for the larger 68mm turbine wheel .

I'll try and get the links for the turbine maps of the GT3076R and GT3582R turbo from turbobygarrett . If you look at the GT35 one the lines do a gentle curving climb where the 30Rs ones rise to a point and flat line or plateau if you like .

Out of time more tonight , A .

    • Hey lads, reviving an old thread.  As an update, since the last time replied to this thread, ive done mostly suspension. Havent touched the motor except for maintenance. Though upon changing spark plugs, found out i had splitfires pre-installed! Updates: - Got me some stock airbox top cover and snorkel to fit onto the original intake. Should be free of defects - Bought a set of R34 GT-T brakes (not installed yet, going to rebuild + respray in champion blue + white 'Nissan' text) - Bought the last set of bilsteins from @Sydneykid and had them installed. Has been making some sounds on the rear but hopefully should be sorted out after this New Year break. - Regreased front caster rod bushings (poly bushes..) - Rear upper camber arms - Whiteline sway bars (BNF27Z 22mm + BNR11XXZ 24mm).  The rear sway bars are a bit short (ive read 50mm else where) but was still able to get them in.  Anyhows, I reckon suspension is sorted now. Maybe replace bushes (do have a set of front upper control arms from SK not installed yet) but should be okay for now. From now, I'm wanting to start working on the motor, drivetrain etc etc. Still debating on the order to go on and what to buy etc but: - ECU ( Haltech or Link ( Link states that it dont support A/T or AWD functions... Can anyone attest to this? ) - Highflow turbo ( ATR43ss2 ) - Intercooler ( Not decided yet, but cant find many good afoordable ones. Toshi says to opt for crossflow Japanese. Bit difficult this one, unless I get a returnflow Blitz from JJ? ) - Injectors ( Any recommendations ? I do have a nismo FPR ( Thanks SK ) ) - Seats - Tune by either Toshi or DVS To be fair, I did consider just keeping the stock turbo and nistuning it. Sat in a mates stock N, that had something like 200kw, and I reckon that felt more than enough. Maybe I should just go this route ahhaha. Too many choices.... Planning a trip down south, so wanting to just clean things up and make sure it gets to and from in one piece. Anything else specifically I should do before ? Cheers lads
    • Must be for the car’s lucky charm 🤷🏽‍♂️ She runs fine, but it just seems to take about 1L less. Maybe I’ll have the oil sump dropped at some point to check if there is anything
    • Hmmm interesting. Mine is the exact same and clearly the right one.  The mystery of the engine oil being full after 3.5-4L continues
    • Yes I as well would like to find out where I could get some of the seat material with the red or blue small squares in it
