What state you from? Not clued up on all other states laws but I'd imagine an R32 GTS should be legal

You can get the service manual for all engines fitted to R32's here: http://www.importworkshop.com/nissanskyline.html

Don't know where you can get confirmation of the official weight as manuals for the GTS versions are hard (impossible?) to find... Couldn't you just get the car weighed?

Per Redbook:

http://www.redbook.com.au/used-cars/detail...id=11D96DE42547

116kw... your rego sticker will specify the weight of the vehicle... you can do the math.

dont believe the rego sticker, it is usually way off from car specifications.

Not sure if it would help but;

1988-1989 GTST (series 1) weigh's around 1280kg

1990-1993 GTST (series 2) weigh around the 1350kg mark.

GTS should be lighter as it would be missing all the turbo stuff and smaller brakes etc.

However the power/weight ratio is using the unladen weight of the car. Ie. no fluids etc.

Any car information you will find will only state the kerb weight...

Cop told me the vicroads sticker weight is the unladen weight (which read 1250kg on my GTST) but all my r32 friends have different weight values on the sticker..

Hope that helps someway..

for his purposes the weight per rego will surely be considered reliable as will redbook for the power figure.

So if it did go to a court case he has information that is reliable and I am sure it will confirm the car is under the power to weight ratio... If it isn't then you would not be allowed to drive pretty much any car, except maybe some 800cc Diahatsu

1. You should learn to spell..

2. Surely if you took documentation that shows your car has been weighed and dynoed and complies within their standards then that is submisible in court.. If not then throw it back in their face, and inform the judge that you wish for the prosecutor to prove that it doesn't comply
