on the same day i was at supercheap at stud park around lunch time and there were two coppers in the car park with an unmarked black SS.. funny thing was they were 'guarding' a fully sick drift spec 180 with sponsor stickers and all, minus number plates with the bonnet up exposing the big above mount turbo..

the coppers looked pretty puzzled as the owner seemed nowhere around, so while i was at the check out counter at supercheap, one of the cops came in and questioned the check out boy about the owner, they suspected (and i quote "we have received information that the owner is hiding in here" ) the owner to be in the store hiding LOL..

although i would have liked to hang around a little to see what unfolded next, i thanked my lucky stars for not being in my skyline before getting the fark out of there before my 1600 was compromised :spank:

Yeah that was Pettet and his Sidekick in the Black SS unmarked, and it did happen around lunch time, it must of just been after i was defected.

:)

Yeah dang i didnt get any of the guys details i might have to call back and speak to another person there that deals with Defects, It was pretty clear what he told me about what i can do do bypass the V.A.S.S.

Pretty good point to get the details of the person i spoke too, wish i did now because i know how crummy VicRoads are majority of the time.

Lucky i have the Work Car for a week so i have time to fix it all up.

You dont want the details - you want it in writing is what i've found :)

Soon as you ask for that, someone with the actual knowledge comes out or you get the "oh, hang on a minute there is something here that says..."

Only reason i say that, is it happened to me with my whole VASS debarcle late last year where VicRoads documentation says i dont need one, call centre says i dont need one

Yet i rockup and low and behold some guy comes out with some mystical piece of paper says i do. And i looked @ thier website for hours and printed out all my doco's that backed me up.

Such is VicRoads really

lolz... pettet really neads to get a life

As if a Defect is not enough from Pettet

Today in the mail comes a EPA letter saying i have to get my exhust checked what a A**Hole is Petett

If the Epa is so concerned for the enviroment which it is ment to be protecting it wouldnt send you out papper and make you drive 20kms to a tester, what a Rought So much for living in "the land of the Free" this shit just makes me so angry...................

Althou Lucky i have a friend who works at the EPA who hopefully can do something about this and rip the letter in half *sit on that Pettet*

Well you drive a car illegally modified, at the end of the day he is just doing his job.

Drive a legal car, or take the consequences on the chin.

You might not agree with the law, but you live here so you have no choice

yeah but if you actually read through half of the rules and regulations, HALF of the non-modified cars can be defected too.

some of the rules and guidelines are so vague and stupid it really does leave too much interpretation up to the enforcer, which in turn means there is far more room for prejudice and stereotyping being the reason someone is pulled over and not because there car is obviously a danger/illegal.

I got pulled over driving my full sick VL sedan ages ago... no where near legal... too low, tow bar covered the licence, tyres were worn, rear lights didnt work (it was night when i was pulled over), leaked oil, too loud, illegal tint etc etc... you know what they said, just make sure when i get home i take the towbar off cause if i go through a speedcamera they cant tell what the plate is... so not only did they let me off they then told me how to avoid speeding tickets lol

If i was in a stock skyline with even just rims and a cheap catback they would have gone over the car with a fine tooth comb and probably would have found enough to defect me and receive an EPA letter in a week or 2. And the skyline would be a far safer on the road. So its never going to get any better so no matter what happens your just going to have to put up with it if you drive a modified import.

Funny i never knew driving a skyline was driving a illegal car, Didnt even know that have the FMIC where i had it was illegal, when the instuctions on the install tell you to cut a hole bellow the washer bottle you dont exactly think your doing anything illegal,

I am a truck driver and i am on the road everyday i see cars all the time (it would be almost 100's) everyday that were a lot more dangerous on the roads than my slightly modified skyline.

Anyways FMIC is off and SMIC is back on now ive just got to find a pannel beater to patch the hole up

Why am I not surprised :D

    • I'm selling my personal race car. 1992 BNR32 Skyline GT-R About eight years ago the engine developed the dreaded low oil pressure problem. I removed it and found the issue. However shortly after I moved half way across the country, moved my work shop, bought a house, got married, then moved my shop again to it's permanent location for the time being. in turn I do not have the time to race this car as it should be. In turn the engine I built for this car will end up in my street car and this car I hope finds a home with someone who can use it to it's full potential. The roll bar was built by Jason Noren Fabricaiton in Pomona California to SCCA and NASA Specs. The car used to compete in redline time attack and global time attack enthusiast class. It also has a fire suppression system.  The car is with me at my workshop in Kyle Texas, USA. Shipping it is no problem, I can personally deliver the car to the port of either Houston or Los Angeles. Any other port depending on where it is may require transport but we can always work that out.   The chassis itself is rust free, rear quarters and under fenders are free of any rust so it's a very solid foundation for anyone who wishes to move forward with it. As posted and at the asking price of $20,000 USD the car includes all of the following;   All OEM Body panels, front fenders, rear bumpers etc.  OEM Nissan Projector headlamps (Pictured N1 lamps were removed) OEM Nismo Side Skirts / Extensions OEM Rear Spats  Front & Rear Subframes are installed car is full roller Rear Subframe has Cusco Camber Arms, Whiteline HICAS Elimination Front Subframe has Whiteline tension rods and whiteline Sway bars w/ endlinks.  Buddy Club N1 Coilovers All chassis wiring and engine wiring is in tact. Attessa System is fully in tact and was functional before engine removal.  BCNR33 GT-R Brembo Brakes F+R with Endless MX72 Plus Pads, DBA Rotors & Stainless Steel Brake lines Billion Racing Radiator Billion Radiator Hoses Fluidyne Engine Oil Cooler Accusump System (trunk Mounted) 5 Speed Transmission w/ Transfer Case F+R Prop-shafts Rear Differential With rear Axles.  Nismo Gauge Cluster Nismo Clutch + Flywheel   Essentially what is needed to make this car running and driving again is as follows: A working Engine, an ECU, and time to put it together. The price posted is or best offer as I am willing to remove some components to accommodate price to a certain extent. If any serious buyer wants full detailed pictures, videos, or any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I believe this car is priced to move quickly considering it's a rust free and very straight chassis but always open to fair negotiation.  I can be contacted via phone or email. • So...to my (and my mechanics doing the swap) surprise...the oil pan from NEO engine does not fit 100% and needs to by modified like this: It is not a huge problem but in the future i want a "proper" oil pan. So question is...what different oil pan can i get to fit without any problems and modification? Thanks!
    • Some more info I found.  These are the last entries Yoshikiyo Fujii made on his blog before he passed away in 2009: http://blog.livedoor.jp/fujii_dynamics/ And finally this is where the workshop was situated:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhTPtHzt3WVcBTiEA
