Hi all,

Have installed an alarm in my r33, but cannot for the life of me figure out which wires are for the door lock/unlock.

Can anyone point out where these wires are, and what colours i should be looking for?

Thanks guys!

Ryan

Thanks for that mate, where can i get actuators from?

Do i need one for drivers and passenger side, or will the drivers side automatically unlock the passenger side as it usually does when i unlock with the key?

Thanks, sorry for my newbie questions!

Ryan

Hi Mate,

I go away to work on the 4th of Jan, do you know where else i can get one?

Heres another one for ya... my alarm automatically arms after 30 sec, is there a way to connect the alarm to my turbo timer so that after the car turns off, it arms automatically?

Otherwise, is there a way to wire the alarm so that it can be armed while the engine is still running?

Thanks

Ryan

Hi guys,

Have bought an actuator... now i cant figure out how to wire the thing in? My instruction booklet is crap, so thats no help. Anyone done this before on an R33?

Do i need a central locking control unit as well as the actuator, or just an actuator on its own?

Cheers

You need a twin relay setup. Purchase a changeover relay from dick smith, autobarn, etc.

Relays

30 goes to green wire of actuator

87A goes to earth

87 goes to 12V source

86 goes to 12V source

85 goes to negative trigger from your alarm (unlock signal)

For the second relay, connect all the same except to 30 connect the blue wire from the actuator and to 85 connect the negative trigger from your alarm (lock signal)

If you have any trouble, call us on 1300 132 893. We come out on-site.

Even easier, Mongoose has the central locking relays built in on the M80 series. Here is what to do.

Purple + Orange wires connect to 12v Constant Power

Brown + White wires connect to Constant Earth

Then run your Green + Blue into the door where the central locking actuator is mounted and connect to the Green and Blue wires on the actuator. Arm and disarm the alrm and it should lock and unlock. If its around the wrong way just switch the green and blue wire around at the actuator it will reverse the signal for you :)

Oh and on the 1993 Skyline there is a small gromet that you can push the wires through just behind the main grommet of the wiring going into the door, should make the running of the wire easier.
