2009 F1 Season

Well i was only going over my first reaction to news that Button may be going to McLaren and how i thought it went against the grain of McLaren. But then i realised its not the McLaren we know at the moment....SO,

Ron-McLaren would have made a point of signing the bet driver available for the spare seat, and that would be Kimi. If it meant an extra 3-5million he wouldnt have budged. McLaren was synonymous with the best, most professional team with a a budget that allowed them to be. He wouldnt not have baulked at the prospect of spending a few extra dollars to have the best and give Mclaren the best opportunity to earn dollars the next season from sponsors and Bernie. Just think how much more F1 money the teams that come 1-2 compared to those that cme 4-6! That alone will cover any drivers expense.

SO here we are at the end of 2009 and i now realise we are not dealing with the same Mclaren. We now have Martin-McLaren which is a different animal to that of the Ron days... i stopped being a McLaren fan when they started dicking my man Coulthard with orders to pull over....so i will enjoy watching them sign Button for bigger money then anyone else will pay for him only for him to be marginally better then Heikki.

Rewind the clock i wish Button had partnered Webber at Williams like planned ... rather then duck contracts. People say Webber is over rated, personally i think, even with a WDC in his pocket Button is the most over rated driver on the grid :)

But He's had a heap of good passing moves this year, Hamilton-esque even! :)

Button's much better value than Kimi (I know he had a crappy car most this year, but he didn't really set the world on fire in '08- when he should have been trying for back-to-back WDCs)

what if it was all a ploy by the fuzz and kimi to sit out a year on 20 mil so that they can bring him back in 2011 as a replacemet for massa

considering how the little rat bastard sat out most of this year, its not in ferraris best intrests to just piss him off for Nando, the shit storm it would create is something they would like to avoid

then its a kimi, nando superteam in just over a year with a car that will be at the pointy end once again

it all seems a bit suss that kimi came out and said "mclaren or nothing". There are some definate shennanigans afoot

You read it here first, Button to be little better then Heikki! He is a winger not a worker so wont be able to steal momentum to be equal performances from the team, if Alonso could not perform at hsi best in that team alongside Hamilton then Button is NO CHANCE. The only chance is Whitmarsh will give him the bum sex he will need to stay motivated through the season...as history shows Button doesnt dig very deep when things arent going his way, that was Rubens job during the tough years! :)

...and just on the news now here in the UK. Button to team with Hamo in 2010....lol a very ballsy move. Button claims needs a new challenge and Whitmarsh claims they offered no more money then Brawn, but was Buttons decision to be in what he feels will be the more competitive team :)

So, Brawn need to find a quick guy capable of race results week in week out....i cant help but think Heidfeld will get it, or who knows. Would love to see Brawn give Kimi a seat but i dont think Ferrari management will be whispering in his ear to grab him. Who knows, maybe they could spring a real surprise and give Anthony Davidson a seat and keep the dollars in the pocket for engineering the car

And what now for Heikki, back to Renault? Surely the new teams would be interested in him but i cant see him being overly excited by any of them. Next year is going to be interesting

lol, i just realised

Mclaren will carry the numbers 1 and 2 for their cars next year... and hammo will be number 2!! in a manor of speaking of course, because he is going to belt button

A little "stick it to them" for mercedes GP next year from Mclaren also perhaps?

hehe, in my eyes saying button is hamilton esque is not only accurate but it's about the biggest insult you could through at a bloke. they both fell arse backwards into their WDCs. buttons was won in the first 10 races when their car was miles better than anything else. just like hamiltons was. hamilton then spent the next part of the season trying hard to lose, button at least had some luck and kept it going.

but I agree with roy, I would have loved to have seen webber and button together at williams. button is completely not interested in anything but an A1 quality car, where as webber will hammer the ring off it for 10th place if he has to. when have we ever seen any effort out of button except when the car is working. it took webber 5 years of shit cars to even start to look a bit down hearted... lol.

I couldn't agree more. I'm with you little buddy. button is going to spend a year getting spanked by hamilton. which is quite embarrassing. and they are both going to be spanked by webber. go webber.

is kimi really without a seat now? that sucks. I know he has been bored as fck this last few years but god damn on that 1 in 5 races where he has a crack he is good to watch, and his interviews cannot be beaten.

Good luck Team Kraut

Brawn will be fine as long as they get some money to develop the car for next year.

Remember they swapped Rosberg for Rubens so they won't be short on driver talent.

Oh and here is hoping the Campos is a half decent thing.....
