Hi all,

I have notice a couple of times now that when i initally take the car out sometimes while ur driving for a few minutes, the "TCS OFF", "SLIP" and "Engine" lights come on and stay on? It only happens from cold start. i dont even push it hard cos its still cold, i found turning the car off for a few minutes then turnin it back on it disappears? and someone shed some light on this maybe... Thanks guys

That is the fault code for the Ignition system/Coil packs mate....

Get ur self a nice new set of Splitfire coils R34 GTT model number: SF-DIS-008

Hope that helps.. Anyone correct me if i am wrong but i don't think so..

Thanks for the reply, that is very interesting, i only just got the car like 2 weeks ago, lol Splitfire coils R34 GTT not so cheap, but if it fixes the problem then good. can anyone back this up??? Thanks guys

Hahaha this is like the most common problem for 34 owners. myself i've had this for a while...I should probably replace the coils soon. Most other 34 owners have found replacing the coils to do the trick.

Is there any long term damage to the car if we dont replace the coils asap?

It is a common problem because of the plastic cover over the motor.. this traps the heat in a bit more so the factory coils tend to die sooner...

I would not leave it to long to replace them because if a coil is not working obviously that cylinder maybe getting no spark.. so may only have 5 or less cylinders getting spark.. or maybe only a weak spark.

Splitfire coils may be expensive but they can increses power by giving a better spark and the can hold up to high power and engine heat better and if you use slitfires you should only ever need to do it once.. :D

By the way midnite34 welcome look forward to seeing some pics of ur car.. R34 Pics Have a look here.
