I had a fast idle issue with mine. I removed the throttles, cleaned with carby cleaner (didn't get it absolutely spotless as that carbon is seriously stuck after 15+yrs) and then adjusted them as they must have worn or someone else had adjusted them and not have closed them nicely. Cant remember what brand I used, any throttle/carby cleaner will be fine.

Hmmm... This seems to be a dangerous exercise. My reccommdation would be to clean them.... but to use the Tomei throttle paste. Your dont want to be pulling those things off again with the motor in the car.... esp with a Nismo plenum. What a pain in the arse!!!!!!!

Lol tell me about it. I had to replace the air regulator valve on mine and that alone was a big enough pain. But after taking the plenum off this time, next time will certainly be a lot easier, knowing where the bolts underneath it are now(hope there is no next time lol). Never heard of the tomei paste before, interesting. I just ended up getting a soft cloth and wiping them clean. didn't get them spotless but they werent too bad either. I noticed the t/b at the back was the dirtiest.
