yo so since i got this car it's been hugely gutless (14 seconds to go from 80 to 100) and i knowing i'd have a car full of crap soon i was messing around trying to make it less slow.

so i noticed that when i'm giving it throttle (even full stick) the second stage of the carby is not opening up at all, and doesnt seem to have any petrol running onto it

i'm not sure if it's mechanical or vaccuum assist but either way it should be opening when i'm revving it stationary right..

So has anyone had any experience with these carbies? Most celica forums start at 85, or u need 15 posts to make a topic or you need a bigpond email addy etc.. and it's a pain in the arse

it's a Ta22 1.6 litre, with some extractors and a zorst

i dont know much about em and my old man isn't around so didnt want to pull it apart to find it needed something to put back together.. i am hoping it's mechanical and it's just a linkage problem

cheers

also from what i can tell there is one linkage at the bottom which does not do anything.. when i push it up it makes a sound like air and diaphragm movement, but doesnt get any stiffer or anything..
