Dropped some stuff off at a local council hazardous waste station and 6-8 workers trying to work out what type of car I was driving. One said its a Volvo so I told him it's a Nissan stagea and as I drive out I could here them all yelling out to each other "it's a Nissan stagea"

Very funny. Oh and they said it looked good. ?

Was at the wreckers the other day looking for a rb30 and the bloke that worked there spotted my car and said " that's the nicest volvo ive seen in a while, looks tough" i laughed and told him it was a nissan! He didn't believe me

go volvo go

actually pretty cool

Lol, I love that Amazon. I believe that's a 760 twin cam motor, so there can't be too much wrong there.

In the article I read about it; the builder actually works for Koeniggsegg; which certainly explains the origin of some of the components, and also the build quality.

I've owned my Stagea for 2 weeks now and I was at the mechanics today using there hoist and one of the guys there said to one of my mates "since when has he owned a Volvo". Wow it didn't take long for the Volvo comment!

i got told mine was a holden the other day, i was like nah it's a nissan, and the bloke was like so why do you have a holden badge on the front, i gave up, had gotten my ticket off him so i just drove in and left him standing there confused.

you're not the one mate - I was also told that my ARX was one of those commodore wagon with arches

haha as is in my pic << mine is a c34 so it doesn't even resemble anything holden has ever made, i can sort of understand being the wheel arches are something common to the holdens but even then the rest of ur ARX's are completely different

Went to the snow at Lake Mountain today.

There was a big sign in Marysville stating that snow chains must be carried.

I pulled up outside the store to enquire if i actually needed them.

A nice lady in charge was standing outside the front of the store and she saw me pull up.

She said " What kind of a car is it? I dont need to know the make, I know it's a Volvo, but is it all wheel drive or four wheel drive?"

I said that it was all wheel drive, so i didn't need the snow chains.

By the way, the Snow button is great.

i had the same experience with snow chains... :) heading up to falls creek few weeks ago.

'so what model volvo is that??' .... i just laughed... i said have a closer look mate. :P then he's like... nah i can tell its a volvo cos of the wheel arches.. >.<

Haha brilliant, my dad calls my V35 "a poor mans Merc".. he seems to get a lot of humour out of it.

But as for people mistaking it for something else, i've never once had someone ask me what it is but i have had people gawking around the car to find a badge (only got the Nissan badge in the front grille and 350GT on the back)
