Hey guys, every since i bought my 33. I always thought it was a normal thing that the left and right signal has to be turned off manually as it was an old car. Steering didnt feel so responsive (yet again thought it was normal)... but somethign weird happened today, went to a friends place and left the car out in the hot sun for a few hours. All of a sudden, when i started driving the car... the steering started vibrating (very abnormal for my car) a little everytime i move it... it felt better i guess... a little stiffer. The signal also turned itself off when i turned a corner (this is not normal for my vehicle)... had the car for almost a year now and i found this really odd that it suddenly "fixed itself". Happy about the "miricle" i guess, but if it were to somehow "break" again... would it be a simple fix?.. How would i go about doing so? (maybe a clean? replacement? repair?)

a better description of the vibration would help. does it happen at certain speeds, does it feel alignment related or pump related? when was the last time you checked your p/steering fluids and hoses?

as for the indicators, they should turn off themselves. would be a simple clean, replacement if it starts to happen again. just take the surroundings off and have a look how it works.

The vibration is something constant that happens at 0kph and 100kph, it only happens when i move the steering wheel in any way. If i constantly move the steering wheel, i will constantly feel the vibration. (very mild vibration) It shouldnt be the alignment, got alignment done rescently and well it the steering is still all good. Havent checked my p/steering fluids and hoses but have no idea how to do so w/o sending to mechanic. Shoudlnt be a concern should it?

does it make any noise while you turn?

pop your bonnet up, theres a reservoir bottle on the passengers side next to the suspension strut. unscrew the lid and you will see a level indiator stick thats undernieth the lid. put it on and take it off again to see your level. check your hose that connects to it to see if its leaking, its quite common.

see how you go with this.

    • Yeah, it was a bit of confusion with me, I rang and asked if they had a boot for a soft top, and then the paint shop when they rang and were asked if it had a hard top on it, which it does, just not a PRHT....LOL Meh, whilst frustrating for all concerned it isn't a war stopper and should be a thing of the past in a week or two In other N/A related news, car is booked in at the end of the month for the cams, springs, retainers, harmonic balancer and retune  I might even pull the lazy arse card and get them to do a full service on it whilst it is there
    • Factory LSD is supposedly a 2 way with a very conservative cam. If you've already tried adding friction modifier to the diff oil and it still locks up too much for your liking you might want to adjust the ramp rate on the cam to be more like OEM instead of reducing initial torque even further. People claim the 8 kgf-m disc kit for the OEM LSD is still very streetable but I've never been able to compare everything side by side on my own.
    • Oh man, at least it sounds they've accepted they stuffed up and not put it back on you...could see some confusion if they asked if it had a hardtop or not, and you've answered truthfully but maybe not answering their real question which is what roof did it have from the factory! Glad your keeping it N/A 2.5
    • Nah, I much prefer colour matched Talking about colour matching stuff, the new/used boot lid turned up, all painted up perfectly......aaaannnndddd, it's for a power retractable hard top, not a soft top.....LOL They are now sending a boot to fit a soft top.....,  whilst frustrating, life is like that sometimes, sometimes you just need to dodge, duck, dip, dive and, ummm, dodge.
    • You would need to paint your hardtop again though
