What's the max power you want out of them? Or just something equivalent to the stock setup with a little bit more punch?

dont really need much more power as im happy how it is

i would just like something steel wheeled

but any gain is welcome :spank:

For around 2k (for something new, obviously second hand opens up more choices), a set of garret 2530's or 2560's (-7) will do the job. Still very responsive and a nice power upgrade if that's all your after.

Yeah, i was going to say, if you could find for a set of HKS GT-SS turbo's or some N1 turbo's second hand that would be a good option.

The 2530/2560's are obviously going to make more power than your stock turbos, but no one is saying you have to push them hard, run them at low boost and it'll be similar to what you have with more power through out the rev range.

Horsepowerinabox or GCG have them for around a grand each. Or check the business traders section on here.

buy garrett instead of jap branded turbo kit as its cheaper and around ur budget mark and don't buy 2nd hand unless u desperate to stick to $2k

garrett 2860-7 is very close to stock response but increased power limit and can be had from sau sponsor for around $2600 along with gasket kits etc.. pretty much bolt-on to existing dumps

new garrretts are ~$1250ea, so you'll have to stretch that 2k (-9s/-7s are what you want there)

And then the little things, gaskets etc etc.

Then its going to cost 1k to have em swapped out.

you could grab a 2nd hand pair of R34 N1 turbos, they would be closer to 2k, but then not new. Near enough to garrett replacements :spank:

but for the extra $600 i'd go new hands down.

+1

You can do it on 2k if you buy second hand and the labour yourself but the cost to go new is not all that much higher.

N1's, 2860-7's or, GT-SS's is what you're after.

R31Nismoid: What are the -9's? They a direct stock replacement or something while the -7's are the GT-SS'ish equivalent?

Hey Jase, I've got my combo up and running if you want to come for a look see- 350hp capable turbos (ea) with pretty much stock response- can get them for about 1300 brand new each, they're custom jobs not available off the shelf.

Oh and they're an absolute direct replacement fit including the bosses on the compressor covers for oil and water line block.
