Well ive had my so called heavy duty clutch in for 9 months and is now starting to slip badly and is obviously phuct. Im runnin about 280 through the rear wheels and thought it would last longer considering im not completely crazy and dont launch it much. Do I need to get a whole new clutch or can I just get it re-built and how much?. Cheers, Mark

You could rebuild your current clutch - say $300+ labour then do it all again in 9 months say $300-$350 + labour ( TVM & inflation) or go a twin plate & be happy for much longer... meaning the initial higher cost will pay dividends over time. Don't overlook the 2nd hand market if shopping for a twin - there are bargains to be had at parts joints & in these forums.

hope that makes sense !!

BTW these are Sydney prices - I bet you could do better !!.

MY FIRST CLUTCH I CHANGED I PUT A STANDARD HEAVY DUTY DAIKIN CLUTCH IN, IT LASTED 2 YEARS, AND WHEN I DRIVE I DUMP THE CLUTCH ALOT, I RIDE IT SHIT LOADS, AND LAUNCH THE CAR AT HIGH REVS AND IT DID 2 YEARS, NOW I PUT IN A DAIKIN HEAVY DUTY SPORTS CLUTCH, SO IM GOING TO SEE HOW SHE GOES
