Vague Power Steering - 40kmh++

Guys,

I'm getting a vague kinda feeling in my power steering as mentioned above. It feels as if though when I turn into a sweeping corner and if I need to make a small correction I can move the wheel a few cms before getting feedback. It is as if though there is air in the lines or something - it just feels notchy.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I also notice it when Im standing still and if I move the steering wheel left and right relatively quickly I get the same notchy feeling!!! I friggen hate it!

take a look at your power-steering fluid levels.

or the bushes on the sterring arms!!!

what do u mean by bushes on the steering arms?

and how much are they to replace?

i sort of have the same problem

Are you getting foaming in the power steering fuild ? Leaks ?

Is the Power steering belt tight enough (don't over tighten) and not slipping ?

Check these first, then go look at the bushes in your suspension.

Also check if you have a flex joint in your steering column and it has play in it.
